CONTEXT
The ANRS MIE partner site in Cameroon works in the field of human health research and the coordination of actions related to emerging infectious diseases in close collaboration with sectoral ministries, public institutions, and national and international technical and financial partners.
To carry out our activities, we have a qualified and competent staff, which we wish to expand by recruiting a Secretary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the authority of the coordinators and their direct supervisor, the secretary will perform the following main tasks and responsibilities:
Greet visitors professionally and courteously;
Manage the switchboard (make and receive telephone calls);
Register incoming and outgoing mail;
Manage the entity’s official email inbox (receive and send emails);
Draft and format administrative documents (letters, memos, reports, and minutes);
Ensure the administrative follow-up of files related to ministries and partner institutions;
         Participate in the preparation of scientific and institutional activities;
     Manage schedules, organize meetings, workshops, and missions;
         Ensure the physical and digital archiving of documents;
     Supervise photocopying and the organization of errands for administrative staff in conjunction with the Heads of Departments; Manage petty cash;
Perform any other tasks related to the position that may be assigned within the framework of the activities of the ANRS MIE Cameroon site;
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Hold at least a two-year post-secondary diploma (BAC+2) in secretarial studies or equivalent;
3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar position;
Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet);

Proven experience in public administration or in an environment related to ministries and public institutions;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
Experience in a research organization or in a project funded by international partners would be an asset.

The deadline for submitting applications is February 26, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE
Recruitment will take place in three stages.
The first stage will consist of an initial screening of applications based on qualification and aptitude criteria.
Next, shortlisted candidates will undergo a practical computer skills test and a correspondence writing test.
Following the second stage, the three best candidates will be invited for an interview.
