The Ministry of Youth and Civic Education (MINJEC) is launching a recruitment drive for 168 young volunteers. Contrary to what is sometimes reported, this call for volunteers originates from the Minister’s office (MINJEC) and not from the Douala Urban Community.
The objective is to introduce young people to the concept of selflessness and to provide them with tools for their social integration.
Profiles and Fields Sought:
The program is open to Cameroonians of both sexes, aged 18 to 35.
The areas of intervention are very diverse:
Technology (ICT): Maintenance technicians, graphic designers, programmers (minimum of a two-year post-secondary degree), network technicians (engineers), webmasters, and database administrators.

Communication and Languages: Journalists, radio and television presenters, bilingual translators, and writing assistants.
Legal and International Studies: Law students (from Level III onwards) and International Relations (Master 2).
Technical and Service Professions: Archivists, statisticians, tailors (high school diploma/vocational certificate), drivers (Category B license), mail carriers, and cleaning staff.
Social Services: Community engagement and awareness-raising (community mediators).
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be of Cameroonian nationality.
Be at least 18 years old by January 1, 2026.
Be able to read and speak French or English.
Be registered with the National Youth Observatory and possess a Biometric Youth Card (or equivalent document).
Application File Composition
: The application file must include the following documents:
A stamped application addressed to the Minister of Youth and Civic Education.
A registration form (available from the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education, its delegations, or downloadable from www.minjec.gov.cm or www.onjcameroun.cm).
A photocopy of the National Identity Card.
A photocopy of the diploma or proof of qualifications.
A photocopy of the Biometric Youth Card (or receipt).
For students: a photocopy of the student ID card or receipts for payment of university fees.

Applications may be submitted in two ways:
Physical Version: In a sealed envelope no later than Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. to the DISJEV (Nlongkak, Yaoundé, 5th floor), to the Regional/Departmental Delegations, or to the CMPJ.
