BANKING LAWYERS
LINE MANAGER: Head of Department/Legal Director
MAIN MISSION:
ACADEMIC LEVEL:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Ensure the legal security of the bank’s activities.
Prevent legal risks.
Manage regulatory and litigation aspects;
Guarantee the compliance of operations and support projects by ensuring compliance with the applicable regulatory framework (OHADA, COBAC, BEAC, etc.);
Implement strategies for the judicial and amicable recovery of debts.
Master 2 in Business and Corporate Law, Law and Judicial Careers, International Trade and Investment Law;
Good command of OHADA law, banking law, corporate law, labor law
5 years minimum in a legal function in the financial sector, legal consultancy firm, law firm etc…
Experience in recovery and management of contentious portfolios (litigation) highly appreciated
REQUIRED SKILLS:
KNOW-HOW
Mastery of OHADA law, national, sub-regional and international banking and financial regulations
• In-depth knowledge of securities, legal procedures, enforcement methods Proven experience in drafting and securing legal documents
Good understanding of credit operations, restructuring, provisioning Knowledge of banking secrecy
• Microsoft office suite
KNOW-HOW
Reception techniques.
Expression in French and English
Communication techniques
Knowledge of basic banking products (current account, savings, credit)
Compliance rules: KYC, LCB-FT (Fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism)
BEAC, COBAC regulations
• Internal procedures related to the administrative management of customers
• Knowledge of banking secrecy
• Microsoft office suite
