As part of a training engineering contract for an oil and gas client (confidential), we are seeking an Electrical Trainer to train and support local staff on industrial electrical installations (low and high voltage), both onshore and offshore, combining technical expertise with hands-on teaching methods.

The objective of the position

is to support and develop team leaders into supervisory roles, ensuring the technical and managerial skills development of local staff on Oil & Gas installations (onshore and offshore).

Main responsibilities

include: training and supporting team leaders to prepare them for supervisory positions;
assessing the technical and managerial skills and identifying the development needs of each participant;
implementing theoretical and practical training sessions, including on-the-job training (OJT);
developing, adapting, and updating training materials based on participants’ needs; and
writing progress reports and proposing individual development plans.
Ensure effective skills transfer and contribute to the performance improvement of operational teams.
Participate in the continuous improvement of training programs and on-site practices.


Desired Profile

: Education: BTS/DUT/Bachelor’s degree/Engineering degree or equivalent, ideally in management, industrial engineering, or a field related to the Oil & Gas industry.
Experience: Proven experience as a trainer, ideally in the Oil & Gas sector.
Ability to assess skills and support employees towards positions of responsibility.
Strong teaching skills, analytical mind, rigor, and a practical approach.
Fluency in French is essential; English is a plus.
General Conditions:

Start date: As soon as possible
Duration: Minimum 1 year, with possibility of extension.
Location: Central Africa – Congo, DRC, Gabon, Cameroon.
Work schedule: 4×4 rotation
(2 weeks on a barge/client’s production unit + 2 weeks on-site OJT – On-Job Training).
Working language: French.
Living conditions: Accommodation, local transport, and meals provided by the client.
