N°001/AMI/MINEPAT/SG/PSRDREN/CPR-FC/PACRI-MDK/SPM/2025 OF 21/05/2025 FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF INTERNS IN THE PROJECT TO IMPROVE CONNECTIVITY, RESILIENCE AND INCLUSION ALONG THE MORA – DABANGA – KOUSSERI CORRIDOR (PACRI-MDK)

Source of funding

1.Context

The Government of the Republic of Cameroon has received funding from the World Bank to cover the cost of the Project for the Improvement of Connectivity, Resilience and Inclusion along the Mora-Dabanga-Kousséri Road Corridor in the Far North Region “PACRI-MDK” and intends to use part of the amount of this funding to make payments to professional interns recruited to the Project for the period of twelve (12) months non-renewable. The aim here is to provide professional experience to young graduates of higher education while making them useful in the execution of project activities and consequently promote the integration of these young people into the professional environment.
2.Purpose

The purpose of this call for expressions of interest is to select thirty-three (33) professional interns who will have to carry out their internship within PACRI-MDK. The duration of the internship is twelve (12) months, non-renewable at periods that will be defined and spread out according to the needs of the Project.
3.Participation and origin

This call for expressions of interest is open to young graduates (Bac + 5) of higher education of Cameroonian nationality, aged between 20 and 32 years at the most, at the time of application. They must be proficient in IT tools and have a good command of one of the two official languages, in particular French and/or English. Female applications are strongly encouraged.

             The internship concerns the following areas: Administration and finance; Internal audit; Communication; Accounting; Environmental safeguards and HSS; Civil engineering; Gender and support for women’s entrepreneurship; Procurement; Monitoring and evaluation; Social safeguards; Economics/Transport planning; IT and networks.
4.Funding

A monthly allowance will be allocated to the intern, and covered by the project’s resources.

Qualification, availability and aptitude of candidates

Each interested candidate must:

– Have a higher education diploma (BAC + 5 level) at least and without professional experience;

– Be available throughout the duration of the internship; – Be punctual, diligent and have an impeccable work ethic; – Be able to carry out instructions with humility, in the spirit of learning and developing professionally; – Have an analytical and synthetic mind, a good sense of organization, a methodical mind, creativity and an aptitude for innovation; – Be able to work effectively in a team and under pressure; – Have good writing and oral expression skills; – Be discreet, all information received during the internship must remain confidential. – Be organized, creative and responsive with a team spirit; – Be honest, honest and available. In addition to these qualifications requested above, each candidate according to the applied field must respect the specific qualifications provided in the Terms of Reference. The detailed terms of reference (TOR) of the mission can be obtained at the address indicated below. Applications will be assessed based on the following criteria: required diploma (25 pts), date of graduation (25 pts), professional experience (25 pts), computer skills (15 pts), compliance with application preparation instructions (10 pts). Details of these criteria are contained in the TDR. 5. 6. Composition of the file


At the risk of having their application rejected, each candidate must provide a file including:

– A signed cover letter;

– A clear, detailed and signed curriculum vitae;

– A certified copy of the required diploma;

– A 4X4 passport photo.

 Conflicts of interest

The attention of interested applicants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” of February 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), defining the World Bank’s policy on conflicts of interest.

 Fraud and Corruption

The Bank requires compliance [(provisions of paragraph 3.33 of Section III and Annex IV on fraud and corruption of the “Procurement Regulations for Borrowers Seeking Financing for Investment Projects (IPF) of the World Bank, February 2025 edition (“Procurement Regulations Relating to the World Bank’s Conflict of Interest Rules”)] with the Bank’s Anti-Corruption Guidelines and its applicable sanctions policies and procedures, as set forth in the World Bank Group Sanctions Framework.

 
Selection Method

Interns will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection Method set out in the Public Procurement Regulations and the Trainee Manual validated by the World Bank. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
