protection, inclusion and improvement of the living conditions of people living with
disabilities. Its mission is to contribute to the construction of a more inclusive and fairer Cameroon
, where every person with a disability can live with dignity, access education,
employment, health, express themselves freely and participate fully in the development of
society. This mission aims to defend the fundamental rights of people with disabilities,
promote their access to education, employment, health and citizenship. Fight against
all forms of stigma and discrimination, support families and raise awareness
in communities, and build bridges between people with disabilities and public decision-makers.
Our objectives: protect children, youth, and adults with disabilities from social exclusion and
abuse; educate families, teachers, community leaders, and institutions; support
people with disabilities in their educational, professional, and social integration; advocate for
equitable and accessible public policies; and mobilize talent and energy for
inclusive development.

As part of the pursuit of its mission, OPEH is launching a Call for
Applications for the recruitment of 50 volunteers, in order to strengthen its actions in the field.

Objective of the call
This call for applications aims to recruit fifty (50) dynamic, committed and
motivated volunteers to strengthen the field actions of the OPEH association in its intervention areas. The selected volunteers will be attached to the Garoua office and will have the mission of: • Supporting the implementation of activities related to the protection of people living with disabilities; • Raising awareness among communities about stigmatization and discrimination against people with disabilities; • Supporting the educational, professional and social integration of people with disabilities; • Participating in the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV); • Promoting social cohesion and the empowerment of people with disabilities. The overall objective is to foster local civic engagement and build a team of skilled volunteers capable of actively contributing to the organization’s development initiatives, while gaining valuable experience in community and humanitarian action. Main missions The selected volunteers will be responsible for: • Participating in the implementation of community activities and projects; • Contributing to community mobilization; • Supporting the logistical organization of events, workshops and training; • Leading awareness and education sessions for local populations; • Supporting communication (taking photos, writing reports, disseminating messages, etc.); • Contributing to writing reports, documenting activities and providing occasional support to the administration. Desired profile Candidates must: • Be aged 18 to 40; • Reside in Garoua or the surrounding area; • Hold a BEPC diploma or equivalent at least; • Being able to speak, read and write French and/or English and knowing at least one local language would be an asset; • Being motivated, dynamic, rigorous and having a team spirit; • Having basic knowledge in the use of IT tools and digital communication; • Adhering to the OPEH PEAS policy;

• Be willing to work at least part-time during each week.
Composition of the application file
The file must include:
• A cover letter addressed to the President of OPEH;
• A detailed and updated curriculum vitae (CV) (2 pages maximum);
• A photocopy of the National Identity Card or Receipt;
• A copy of the most recent diploma obtained;
• Photocopies of certificates or attestations justifying experience in volunteering or
community work (if applicable).
Terms and conditions
The positions to be filled are exclusively voluntary. Successful candidates
voluntarily commit to the organization to contribute to
community and humanitarian actions. To this end:
• OPEH does not incur any financial obligation towards
volunteers;
• The initial duration of the volunteering is 3 months, renewable only once;
• A certificate of volunteering will be issued at the end of the commitment, subject to
active and diligent participation.
