Participation This call for expressions of interest is open to recent graduates of higher education of Cameroonian nationality, aged between 18 and 35 years old as of December 31, 2026. Applicants must be proficient in computer skills and have a good command of one of the two official languages, namely French and/or English. Applications from women are strongly encouraged. Current interns and those who have already benefited from the program should not apply.The program for this internship covers the following areas:    Administration and Finance,    Agriculture,      Archiving,      Internal Audit,       Communication       Accounting  , Environment       , Civil Engineering  
In May 2016, the Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group adopted its strategy for youth employment in Africa, which aims to create 25 million jobs by 2025. As part of the implementation of this strategy, and to complement existing initiatives in Cameroon, the AfDB established a professional  internship program for recent graduates within its financed projects in 2017. The objective of this program is to provide professional experience to recent graduates of higher education, thereby contributing to the execution of project activities and facilitating their integration into the workforce. This program is now in its seventh phase.  This call for expressions of interest seeks to select ninety-three (93) professional interns who will complete a six (6) month internship , renewable once, within the project implementation units of the AfDB’s active portfolio in Cameroon. These include:

 

  Geotechnical Engineering, 
  Electrical Engineering, 
  Rural Engineering,  
  Hydraulic Engineering, 
  Gender and Support for Women’s Organizations,  
         Information Technology, 
     Infrastructure,  
         Transport Planning,  
  Procurement  
     , Monitoring and Evaluation,  
  Gender and Social Issues,  
     Legal Expertise,  
         Entrepreneurship and Agricultural Finance,  
     Project Management, Animal Genetics, Topography.
4. Funding:
A monthly internship allowance will be provided to the intern and covered by the resources of the relevant projects and programs.
5. Qualifications, availability and aptitude of candidates
Each interested candidate must 
  have a higher education diploma (minimum level BAC + 3)  
  Demonstrate professional experience of between 6 months (minimum) and 3 years (maximum)    Not have any direct affinities or family ties with the members of the Project Implementation Unit hosting the intern Be available for the entire duration of the internship Be punctual, diligent and have an impeccable work ethic Be able to carry out instructions with humility, in the spirit of learning and professional development Have an analytical and synthesis mind, a good sense of organization, a methodical mind, creativity and an aptitude for innovation Be able to work effectively in a team and under pressure Have good written and oral communication skills     Be organized, creative and responsive with a team spirit Be of integrity, discreet (all information received during the internship must remain confidential), honest and available. 6.
