As part of its efforts to strengthen staffing levels in certain Ground Handling Services, the Cameroon Airports Company (ADC SA) is launching selection tests for the recruitment of “Loading Agents” and “Handling Agents.”
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: LOADING AGENT HANDLING AGENT
1.
Main Duties
The Loading Agent and the Handling Agent are primarily responsible for ensuring the handling of baggage and parcels in accordance with safety and security regulations.
2. Activities and Responsibilities
• Loading Agent
– Take charge of passengers’ baggage;
– Sort baggage by destination in the baggage carousel according to the ground handling codes;
– Organize the storage of baggage and parcels on/in the baggage handling units (ULDs);
– Drive baggage and container trolleys on the tarmac; – Ensure the unloading/loading of baggage, parcels, freight, and mail
; – Ensure the guillotine gates are closed;
– Ensure the integrity of the baggage handling units (ULDs).
Warehouse Worker
– Carry, load, and exchange goods or products, paying particular attention to the integrity of the packaging
– Respect safety instructions related to the products handled and the work environment;
Organize product storage according to available space and packaging
– Secure and palletize goods and packages (shelving by LTA, sorting, etc.) – Drive on the forklift and know how to use handling tractors and the baggage conveyor belt; – Ensure the loading and unloading of luggage, packages, freight, and mail.
3. Required Profile
+ Education and Experience
BEPC/Equivalent;
Category B driver’s license.
Technical Skills
Loading/Handling Agents
Ability to carry, load/unload goods or products, paying particular attention to the integrity of luggage/packages •
Ability to respect safety instructions related to the products handled and the work environment;
Ability to adapt handling conditions to different products;
Ability to organize product storage according to available space and packaging.
Behavioral skills:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Flexibility and adaptability;
Strong interpersonal skills (listening, empathy, dialogue);
Self-control;
Organizational skills and rigor.
Other criteria
Must be 35 years of age or younger.
4. Working Conditions
Workplace: Douala and Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airports.
Contract type: 2-year fixed-term contract, possibly renewable once. – Remuneration: According to the ADC SA salary scale.
