The overall objective of this role is to ensure the reliability, transparency, and compliance of the institution’s financial and accounting information. This role is essential to guaranteeing sound financial governance and the long-term viability of the institution.
Specific objective of the function: To supervise and guide the accounting team, ensure the regular maintenance of accounting records, produce reliable financial statements, support decision-making, and contribute to the control of financial risks (identify anomalies and implement control mechanisms to prevent fraud or errors).
Main Mission
β’ To lead and coordinate the accounting and financial activities of @fric finance
β’ Manage cash flow, validate the implementation of credit and all financial activities as well as collections.
β’ Assist the Director in all Development activities
Main Activities
1-Cash management
β’ Validate and record authorized transfers
β’ Manage the various bank accounts of @fric finance.
β’ Consolidate the various entries in the intercompany accounts and clear them.
β’ Validate the implementation of credits after agreement from the credit committee and ensure the compliance of the credit file.
β’ Present the cash flow situation every weekend.
β’ Maintain off-balance sheet accounting
β’ Fixed asset management: fixed asset inventories and calculation of the Net Book Value of fixed assets
β’ Submit the bank reconciliation for each branch at the end of each month and the overall reconciliation for @fric finance every quarter.
β’ Regularize all entries with incorrect meaning and suspense in the account.
β’ Calculate the COBAC ratios and submit them to the credit committee
β’ Prepare and submit the Sesame files to COBAC
2- Debt Management
β’ Apply COBAC regulations regarding debt management.
β’ Declare uncollected receivables and initiate recovery actions in collaboration with the CEO.
β’ Initiate legal proceedings for forced recoveries in collaboration with the CEO.
β’ Ensure that the proposed guarantees amply cover the loan.
β’ Declassify and record receivables
β’ Provision for receivables
3- Cost management
β’ Approve expenses related to ordinary business activities
β’ Validate supplier payments after authorization from the ADG/DGA.

β’ Manage taxation and various tax returns.
β’ Execute monthly salary transfers and bonuses for all @fric finance staff authorized by the ADG
β’ Manage social security contributions
4- Balance sheet and budget
β’ Prepare the closing balance sheet for the financial year.
β’ Assist the chartered accountant in validating the balance sheet.
β’ Prepare the budget for year N+1 before the end of the fiscal year N and defend it before the board in collaboration with the CEO.
β’ Present the balance sheet, income statement, and profit/loss of @fric finance to the Consultant and the Board of Directors at the end of each month.
β’ Budget preparation: framing, data collection, analysis and projection.
5- Management control
β’ Contribute to the preparation of the main management and financial communication statements of the agencies. Preparation of the board of directors’ statements.
β’ Prepare periodic management reports.
β’ Budget monitoring (agencies), group consolidation and monitoring of various risks
β’ Conduct financial studies
β’ Contribute to the implementation of profitability monitoring tools
β’ Design management tools for the specific needs of agencies.
β’ Centralize accounting documents at management
β’ Contribute to the proper functioning and improvement of the management control organization.
