FAIRME is a Swiss non-governmental organization that has been working since 1959 to improve the health of poor, vulnerable and marginalized populations in several countries around the world. We operate in the Congo Basin in Central Africa and Southeast Asia, where we collaborate with local and international partners. By adopting an integrated approach, we act both on the supply of services by strengthening primary health care systems, the pillar of access to care for our target communities, and the demand for health by working closely with the communities to identify their needs, raise awareness and support them towards appropriate solutions.

Job summary
temporary replacement for an employee on maternity leave. We are looking for an Accounting Assistant who will support FAIRMED’s financial operations by participating in accounting tasks, maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Detail-oriented, organized and passionate about
the MAGNIKEKO project. Accounting for all payments (
wire transfer orders, checks) and ensuring that payments are made on time.
Expenses are kept to approved budgets.
Monthly, quarterly and financial reports

Perform any other task assigned by the hierarchy in connection with the missions of the project and FAIRMED

Candidate profile
BAC + 3 in accounting, Finance, management and business administration
Good command of IT
Good level of French and English
Advanced knowledge of donor reporting standards.
Advanced knowledge of accounting fundamentals
Advanced knowledge of management control
Knowledge of project management fundamentals
Know how to use accounting software
Know how to use application software (Excel, Word, Power point)
Know how to use budgetary tools
Advanced knowledge of the financial structure of a project
Advanced knowledge of the management framework
Justify a minimum of 03 years of professional experience in a similar position
Experience of at least 03 years in an international organization Proven practical experience with office and electronic communication computer tools and software
