Job Description – Operations Officer

Reports to: Procurement Manager (Functional) & SASA B2E Management (Organizational)
Long-Term Goal: Ensure the smooth, efficient, and profitable running of daily operations by optimizing processes, supporting business development, and facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development, Marketing & Sales Support
– Understand and master the company’s products/services and commercial processes.
– Marketing support and promotional activities to strengthen visibility and client engagement.
– Convert qualified leads into clients through effective communication, follow-up, and relationship-building.
– Assist in designing and implementing growth strategies to develop the client portfolio.
B. Procurement & Supply Coordination
– Identify and source supplies, materials, and services for clients at competitive prices.
– Build and maintain a reliable network of suppliers.
– Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and service conditions to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
– Ensure timely procurement and delivery aligned with client needs and company standards.
C. Operational Process Management
– Plan, supervise, and optimize daily operational activities.
– Analyze operational workflows and propose improvements in productivity, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
– Develop, maintain, and enforce internal processes and SOPs to enhance efficiency.
– Ensure operational activities are completed on time and within budget.
D. Communication, Coordination & Customer–Supplier Liaison
– Serve as a communication link between management, teams, clients, and suppliers.
– Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
– Liaise with suppliers to guarantee accurate and timely execution of services and deliveries.
– Organize and facilitate coordination meetings, progress reviews, and issue resolution.
– Provide French–English translation for meetings, documents, and communications when required.
E. Team Support & Stakeholder Management
– Support and supervise the operations team to maintain productivity and alignment.
– Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
F. Administrative & Compliance Duties
– Prepare and present reports on operational performance and achievements.
– Manage operational resources, schedules, and delivery tracking.
– Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
– Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Skills and Qualifications
– Bilingual (French & English) – Mandatory.
– 2 to 4 years of professional experience, preferably in a service provider environment.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Strong analytical skills and proficiency with digital tools (eg, Microsoft Office Suite).
– Proactive problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of initiative.
– Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
– Team player with experience coordinating or supervising small teams.
– High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
