1- Context and justification
THE UNION FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT MUTUALS (MUFID UNION COOP CA) is
the umbrella body of a network of 120 MUFIDs and service points present in the ten regions of
Cameroon. Created on October 30, 2019 during the Constitutive General Assembly held at the Palais
des Congrès in Yaoundé and approved by the Cameroon Monetary Authority on April 22, 2020, after
the Conforming Opinion of the Central African Banking Commission (COBAC), MUFID UNION,
in accordance with COBAC regulations, provides technical and financial assistance to
affiliated MUFIDs which are approved by the Monetary Authority, after the Conforming Opinion of COBAC and
the first of which opened its doors in 1992.
2- Ambitions
A major player in Microfinance in Cameroon, the MUFID network aims to become:
• Leader in agricultural and rural financing in Cameroon;
• A major player in the financial inclusion of populations, the financing of micro,
small and medium-sized enterprises, and in development
To achieve these ambitions, MUFID UNION is acquiring competent staff for the
imminent opening of a new Agency in the city of Bafoussam. With this in mind, it is
looking for a competent and experienced Credit Portfolio Manager.
Missions
The Credit Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the
Agency’s loan portfolio while minimizing the associated risks. This includes evaluating credit applications
, analyzing borrowers’ financial statements and continuously monitoring current loans
. He must also ensure compliance with current regulations, provide recommendations
on credit policies and maintain relationships with
borrower members to understand their needs and support them in their financial projects.
Job Description:
• Analyze credit applications from MUFID members.
• Assess the solvency of credit applicants.
• Establish and manage a portfolio of Agency credits
• Ensure the monitoring and recovery of current credits granted to MUFIDs by the Agency;
• Conduct in-depth financial analyses of borrowers.
• Identify credit risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Produce risk assessment reports and credit recommendations;
• Advise and assist members in their credit applications;

Provide information on credit products and services;
• Respond to members’ questions and concerns regarding their credits;
• Ensure that all credit transactions comply with procedures and regulations;
• Collaborate with the Legal Department to ensure compliance of credit transactions
;
• Establish and follow internal procedures to ensure compliance;
• Participate in the development of the credit strategy within MUFID in West Cameroon;
• Monitor credit market trends and propose strategic adjustments;
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize the overall performance of the Agency
Qualifications and Training:
• BAC + 3 min in Management, Banking and Finance, Accounting, Management of
financial cooperatives or any other similar training
• Fluent expression in French and English
Experience and Skills:
• Experience of at least 03 to 05 years in Credit Management in a
financial institution or a similar position;
• Credit portfolio management and excellent knowledge in Customer Management in an
EMF or banking institution;
• Knowledge of the regulations of the Microfinance and banking sector in the CEMAC zone;
• Excellent knowledge in the Management of Risks inherent in banking operations;
• Mastery of sales and prospecting techniques; • Perfect mastery of the computer tool (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher) and banking
software (CLOUDbank, ALTfinance, etc.).
