JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
ECTA-BTP Sarl is seeking a Chief Accountant.
Required Profile:
1. Bachelor’s degree
(Bac+4) or Master
‘s degree (Bac+5) in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Auditing. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification (or currently pursuing one) is an asset.
2. Professional Experience:
At least 4 to 7 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in a
management position.
Experience in the construction, engineering, or
public procurement sectors is preferred.
3. Technical Skills (non-exhaustive list)
: Proficiency in general, analytical, and budgetary accounting.
– Proficiency in OHADA accounting standards. Good knowledge of Cameroonian
taxation and social regulations . – Preparation of financial statements. – Cash management. – Project cost monitoring and variance analysis. – Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Odoo, SAP, or equivalent). 4. Managerial Skills – Supervise and develop an accounting team. – Organize and plan the department’s activities. – Produce reliable reports for Management. – Collaborate effectively with project managers (Mission Managers) and other departments. 5. Construction Sector Specific Criteria – Good knowledge of contract and project accounting. – Monitoring of expenses per site or project. – Mastery of public procurement invoicing procedures. – Monitoring of retention money, advance payments, and progress payments. 6.
