Context The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) has been implementing since the beginning of January 2024 the cross-border project entitled “Disaster Risk Reduction, Preparedness and Response to Emergency Situations in the Central African Region (Cameroon, Chad and Central African Republic)”; with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in the prefectures of Ngaoundaye in the Central African Republic, and in the Far North region (Arrondissements of Goulfey, Logone-Birni and Kousseri), Republic of Cameroon and in the provinces of Chari Baguirmi and Ndjamena. Several activities are planned as part of this project, including community development activities, Natural Disaster Reduction (DRR) with the aim of improving the well-being of populations and strengthening capacities for prevention, preparation and response to natural disasters. Thus, to facilitate close monitoring of activities on the ground mainly in the Far North region by further involving the community in the implementation of the project, LWF is recruiting in the municipalities of Goulfey, Logone-Birni and Kousseri 1- Reporting to: Livelihood Monitors; Job title: 04 Community Relays; 2- Place of assignment: Place of residence of the Community Relay; 3- Duration of the contract: 05 months 24 days (from July 08, 2024 to December 31, 2024); Objectives of the position The Community Relay represents the community that has chosen him with LWF. He serves as an interface between the community and the Organization. He agrees to devote part of his time to activities of community interest, with a view to contributing sustainably to the development objectives of his community.
