Missions
Under the supervision of the company’s administration, the Legal Manager will be responsible for:
Ensuring constant legal monitoring of the texts applicable to telecoms in Cameroon (electronic communications code, ART decisions, laws on cybersecurity and cybersurveillance, data protection, OHADA law, etc.).
Anticipating legislative developments that may impact the company’s activity.
Supporting teams (sales, marketing, HR, etc.) in their contractual and regulatory activities.
Drafting, reviewing, and validating contracts (suppliers, B2B/B2C customers, interconnection agreements, etc.).
Managing legal issues relating to intellectual property, licenses, trademarks, digital law, etc.
Guaranteeing compliance with the obligations imposed by the ART (price regulation, quality of service, network coverage, etc.).
Ensuring compliance of services with ANTIC requirements (data security, critical infrastructure, local hosting, etc.).
Implement internal compliance policies (anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, etc.).
Monitor litigation or pre-litigation (customers, suppliers, employees, partners).
Defend the company’s interests in court, in collaboration with lawyers.
Propose preventive legal solutions to minimize legal risks.
Ensure compliance with Cameroonian regulations on the protection of personal data.
Manage incidents related to legal data security and coordinate responses in the event of violations.
Participate in the implementation of cybersecurity policies required by ANTIC.
Organize training sessions on legal, regulatory and ethical issues for staff.
Promote a culture of compliance within the company.
Write regular legal reports for senior management.
Profile
Have at least a Bac+3 in law or legal sciences
Have at least 2 years of professional experience in the legal and compliance field, particularly in a managerial position.
Have a thorough knowledge of current laws and regulations
Have mastery of IT tools
Have mastery of the office pack
Have experience in team management would be an asset
Personal skills
Be available.

Be able to analyze complex situations, identify problems and find effective solutions.
Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with various stakeholders, including managers, employees, customers and regulatory authorities.
