Reporting to: Telecommunications Manager
Location: Yaoundé, Cameroon
As part of our business development, we are seeking a
passionate and motivated Network and Telecommunications Engineer to join our team.
1. Main Responsibilities
The Telecommunications Engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, maintenance,
and optimization of telecommunications networks and infrastructure. They
will ensure the technical quality of services while adhering to local regulations and
collaborating with key institutions and partners in the country.
2. Key Responsibilities and Activities
A. Technical Network Management
a. Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure (fixed and mobile)
b. Monitor the performance and availability of
telecommunications equipment
c. Implement network optimization solutions
d. Manage technical incidents and ensure their resolution within contractual deadlines
B. Regulatory Compliance and Strategic Partnerships
a. Coordinate infrastructure projects with
major institutional partners: Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ART), Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (Minpostel), Port
Authority of Douala, Port Authority of Kribi, etc.
b. Prepare and submit the required technical documentation to
regulatory authorities

a. Coordinate and manage projects
b. Develop technical specifications
c. Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
d. Ensure compliance with budgets, deadlines, and technical specifications
D. Administrative Management and Monitoring
a. Write reports and minutes
b. Organize meetings and provide administrative and team management
c. Liaise with clients
d. Prepare monthly reports
E. Support and Training
a. Train internal technical teams
b. Provide level 3 technical support
c. Write technical documentation and operational procedures
3. Required Profile
3.1. Education and Experience
1. Education and Experience: Engineering degree in Telecommunications, Networks or
equivalent field (minimum 5 years of higher education)
a. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in the
telecommunications sector
b. Proven experience in Cameroon with knowledge of the local regulatory framework
c. Experience working with Cameroonian public institutions (a
major asset)
3.2. Technical and Behavioral Skills
● Proficiency in technologies: Fiber optics, 4G/5G, SDH, IP/MPLS, VoIP
● Knowledge of ART standards and regulations
● Experience in managing complex infrastructure projects
● Technical certification (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc.) preferred
● Ability to work under pressure in a demanding and dynamic environment
● Excellent institutional collaboration skills with major partners
● Strong stress resistance and prioritization skills
● Excellent interpersonal and negotiatio
