1. Context
The mission of CAYSTI (Cameroon Youth School Tech Information) is to develop and
promote innovative technological tools to promote equal access to
quality information. It provides high-quality, evidence-based technical assistance
to national and regional organizations and institutions using
digital tools to work in the fields of education and social welfare.
The NUTRIMBOA project aims to promote the use of local foods,
nutrition education and the improvement of dietary practices through an
interactive mobile application. To ensure the quality and reliability of its content, NUTRIMBOA integrates
educational videos and a personalized nutritional recommendation system. In order
to evaluate the effectiveness and relevance of these tools, we are recruiting a nutritionist and a
dietitian whose mission will be to analyze the scientific quality of the content and
identify necessary improvements.
2. Objectives
The main objective is to evaluate the relevance, scientific accuracy and adaptability of the
educational videos and the nutritional recommendation system of the NUTRIMBOA project.
More specifically, it will be a question of:
Analyzing the conformity of the educational videos with the nutritional recommendations and
the needs of the different target populations.
Evaluating the reliability of the nutritional recommendation system and its ability to
offer advice adapted to the profiles of the users.
Identifying possible improvements to be made to the educational content and
recommendations to ensure their quality, relevance and positive impact on
eating behaviors.
3. Main responsibilities
Under the technical supervision of the project coordinator and supervisors, the
nutritionist or dietitian will be responsible for:
A. Responsibilities of the nutritionist
Reviewing the educational videos and formulating recommendations to improve their
scientific and pedagogical content.
Testing the nutritional recommendation system and analyzing its consistency with the
needs of the users.
Conduct interviews and/or surveys to gather user feedback on the
content offered.
Write a detailed report on the evaluation of the videos and the model of
nutritional recommendations, with suggestions for improvement.
B. Responsibilities of the dietitian
Document local eating habits, types of meals consumed and their
frequency.
Collect and formalize local units of measurement and establish their equivalences with
standard measurement systems.
Analyze the relevance of nutritional recommendations based on
actual eating practices.
Collaborate with the nutritionist to propose adjustments to improve
the accessibility and applicability of the recommendations.
Contribute to the development of practical guides incorporating the nutritional values of
local foods.
4. Profile of the nutritionist and dietitian
A. Profile of the nutritionist Holder of a degree in nutrition, food science or any other related
field . Experience in evaluating and developing and implementing nutritional recommendations. Mastery of national nutritional recommendations for different groups. Skills in critical analysis of educational materials and nutritional recommendation systems . Good writing skills to produce detailed and actionable reports. Knowledge of digital tools and mobile applications in nutrition (an asset). B. Dietitian Profile Holder of a degree in dietetics or applied nutrition. Experience in the study of dietary habits and food portion measurement systems . Ability to document and standardize equivalences of local units of measurement. Good understanding of local dietary practices and cultural preferences. Ability to collaborate with other experts to improve nutritional recommendations. Rigor and methodology in the collection and analysis of dietary data.
