RELEASE AUTHORIZING THE OPENING OF POSTS.-

In accordance with the very high instructions of the PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, HEAD OF STATE, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, informs the public that one hundred and fifty (150) teaching positions are open in the three (03) State Universities of Bertoua, Ebolowa and Garoua, for the 2025 financial year, to persons of Cameroonian nationality, aged at most 45 years old on October 1, 2025 and holders of a Doctorate or PhD.

The said positions are distributed as follows:
University of Bertoua 45 positions
University of Ebolowa: 45 positions
University of Garoua: 45 positions
Academic regulation quota: 150 positions. The rest will be allocated accordingly


This operation is carried out under the coordination of the Minister responsible for Higher Education, in accordance with the regulatory provisions in force.
The Rectors will proceed, each in their own area, to the opening of positions by call for applications in the various sectors concerned, after approval by the Technical Committee and high sanction of the Central Supervisory Commission.
Each candidate will submit his or her application to one of the three (03) Universities of his or her choice, no later than May 26, 2025, deadline.
Cameroonians residing abroad will submit their applications to Diplomatic Missions and Consular Posts, no later than May 26, 2025, deadline.
The application file must include the following documents:
 . A stamped application less than three (03) months old, addressed to the Head of the chosen university institution;
2. A certified photocopy of the birth certificate less than three (03) words long;
  A detailed and signed curriculum vitae;
4. Certified photocopies of all diplomas obtained from the
Baccalaureate or GCE Advanced Level;
 . A copy of the Doctoral or PhD thesis;
6. Copies of articles or offprints of any publications, if applicable;
7. A medical certificate dated less than three (03) months and established by a doctor in the public health sector;
 Four (04) 4 x 4 identity photos (in color);
 A photocopy of the valid National Identity Card;
10. An extract from bulletin no. 3 of the criminal record dated less than three (03) months;
11. A certificate of service as a permanent teacher in the University of origin, duly signed by a competent authority, for candidates for the grades of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Professor; 12. A certificate of nationality and, for candidates from the diaspora, photocopies of the passport and residence permit certified by the Cameroonian consular services; 13. A certificate of actual presence duly signed by a competent authority (exclusively for candidates from medical and biomedical fields); 14. Prior authorization from the user Minister or the Head of the home administration (exclusively for candidates from medical and biomedical fields); 16. A copy of the National Disability Card (for disabled persons);


17. A sworn statement concerning: (i) the authenticity of the documents presented, (ii) the actual availability of the candidate and, for candidates residing abroad, (iii) the non-existence of any situation that could give rise to a double salary situation.
Recruitment will follow the regulatory academic process, namely:
For candidates for the position of Assistant:
  study of the file and hearing of the candidate within the requested Departmental Council, according to the procedures to be defined by each State University; opinion of the Establishment Council; opinion of the Consultative Commission for the Recruitment of Assistants (CCRA) chaired by the Rector of the university institution concerned; approval by the Technical Recruitment Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education; publication of the final lists by the Central Supervisory Commission.
For candidates for the grades of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Professor; opinion of the Consultative Committee of University Institutions (CC[U); approval by the Technical Recruitment Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education; publication of the final lists by the Central Supervisory Commission./-

    February 18, 2025 Publication of the Authorization to open positions by the President of the Central Supervisory Commission.
    March 5, 2025
    Publication of calls for applications by the Rectors of State Universities.
May 26, 2025 Final deadline for receipt of application files.
    From June 3 to 9, 2025 Counting, study of application files within the Departmental Councils. Preparation of proposals for lists of eligible candidates in order of merit, as well as those of unsuccessful applications.
    From June 16, 2025 Counting, study of application files within the Establishment Councils, preparation of proposals for lists of eligible candidates in order of merit, as well as those of unsuccessful applications.
    From July 1 to 7, 2025 Holding of the meetings of the Consultative Commissions for the Recruitment of Assistants (CCRA) and preparation of proposals for lists of eligible candidates in order of merit as well as those of unsuccessful applications.
    From July 21 to 25, 2025 Holding of the meetings of the Consultative Committee of University Institutions (CCIU) for recruitment to the grades of Lecturer
, Senior Lecturer and Professor.
    From August 11 to 15, 2025 Review by the Technical Committee of the proposed lists of candidates selected by the CCRA and forwarding of the approved lists, as well as the unsuccessful files, to the Central Supervision Commission.
    From August 25 to 29, 2025 Validation of the eligibility lists and examination of appeals by the Central Supervision Commission.
    September 19, 2025 Publication of the lists of candidates definitively selected by the Central Recruitment Supervision Commission.
    October 2025 Commissioning of candidates definitively selected by the
Universities concerned.
