WCS CAMEROON PROGRAM

WCS has been operating in Cameroon since 1988. Over the years, in collaboration with the Government of Cameroon, the WCS Cameroon Program has contributed significantly to the creation of several protected areas and the training of many conservationist executives. Currently, the WCS Cameroon program is working on three main landscapes, namely the Takamanda-Mone Operational Technical Unit (UTO), the Mbam and Djerem National Park, and the Bouba Ndjidda-Bénoué Landscape.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONS

The Infrastructure Department aims to set up surveillance infrastructures within protected areas and their peripheral zones. These surveillance infrastructures aim to improve the working conditions of the conservation services under the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife (MINFOF) for its administrative management, protection, eco-development, ecological monitoring and research actions.

The activities of the Infrastructure Department are organized into three main areas, namely the construction and rehabilitation of buildings used as offices and housing; the construction and maintenance of crossing structures, the creation and maintenance of the network of tracks.
