Job Title: Accountant (M/F)
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure the maintenance, monitoring, and accuracy of the company’s accounts in compliance with
legal, tax, and social obligations;
contribute to the preparation of financial statements and sound cash management.
General Accounting
: • Enter daily accounting transactions (purchases, sales, bank, cash, and
other transactions);
• Ensure account reconciliation and matching;
• Prepare tax and social security declarations (VAT, CNPS, IR, etc.); • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings; • Prepare the balance sheet and income statement in collaboration with the line manager; • Proficiency in preparing and producing the DSF (French financial statement) and other financial statements. Cash Management : • Monitor cash receipts and disbursements; • Perform bank reconciliations; • Develop cash flow forecasts. Administrative Monitoring and Reporting • File and archive accounting documents, • Prepare files for internal or external audits, • Participate in the production of financial dashboards. Cost Accounting • Allocate expenses by department or project, • Monitor costs and propose optimization strategies. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) or Master’s degree preferred, • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, • Fluency in French and intermediate English required. Technical Skills: • Strong command of general and cost accounting, • Knowledge of Cameroonian taxation and mandatory declarations, • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or equivalent), • Organization, rigor, and a strong sense of priorities. • Discretion and absolute respect for the confidentiality of financial data. • Ability to administer and manage a company comprehensively, • Analytical skills and ability to synthesize information.
