Context and justification
MUFID MBAM is the result of the will and dynamism to work for the development of its community. It was established in Bafia, in the Central Region of Cameroon, and opened its doors in April
1994.
MUFID MBAM is a Category 1 Microfinance Institution, licensed under number 000000302/MlNFl and signed by the Minister of Finance of Cameroon on April 22, 2020. It is located in Bafia, in its own headquarters building, within the Commercial Center.
In order to comply with the new regulation of September 27, 2017 NO 01/17/CEMAC/UMAC/COBAC relating to the conditions for carrying out and controlling microfinance activities in the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa, the mutualists, now Cooperators, have transformed their mutual, initially operating in the legal form of an Association, into a Cooperative Society with a Board of Directors under number


N O 19/146/CMR/CE/11/056/CCA/036004/036004000, in accordance with the OHADA Uniform Act relating to the rights of cooperative societies of December 15, 2010, while adopting the name Mutuelle Financière de Développement (MUFID).
As part of strengthening the General Directorate’s management team, and particularly the ongoing control, organization, and monitoring of its activities, we are seeking two (02) experienced Internal Control Officers who will report to the Head of Internal Control.
Job Title: Internal Controller – Location: BAFIA 1. Overall Mission of the Position:
The Internal Controller’s mission is to provide, through their control activities within MUFID MBAM, objective assurance regarding the level of control over its operations and inherent risks. They ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, management procedures, and contribute to improving profitability. This key role involves ensuring the compliance and performance of the company’s internal processes, particularly with regard to information systems management.
2. Job Description:
     Participate in the development and deployment of the internal control system;
Organize and lead the internal control system (defining objectives, raising awareness, planning work, developing reference documents).
     _Analyze the risks (gathering information and updating the risk map in conjunction with management and various stakeholders on the ground) 
     Participate in the implementation of control activities and the analysis of the results obtained; Lead the implementation of the action plan;
  Promote understanding of the issues and discernment among operational staff through the dissemination of tools, training and the exchange of best practices; participate in the organization, drafting and updating of internal control documentation (functional organization charts, procedure notes, control plan,);
         Drafting reports and conducting periodic evaluations (III. Internal control system, etc.),
     Executing the annual control and compliance plan,
     Implementing the Control Plan duly validated by the General Management and the Board of Directors, 
     Monitoring the proper application of Conventions, Standards and applicable Texts,


  Monitoring the processes and procedures of all activities within MUFID, Regularly and competently conducting controls within MUFID to guarantee the regularity, sincerity, and validity of operations carried out, and compliance with other due diligence related to monitoring risks of all kinds associated with operations:
     Ensuring that the specific risk analysis has been conducted rigorously; Ensuring adherence to guidelines regarding Ethics and Compliance, particularly in the context of anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism, anti-fraud, and anti-corruption measures,
     Participating in the creation and annual updating of a risk map;
3. Qualifications and Training:
     Minimum Bachelor’s degree (BAC + 3) in, Audit, Management Control, Accounting, Management, Finance, Information Systems, or a similar field:
     Minimum age: 23 years.
         Fluency in French and English is an asset.
4. Experience and Skills:
     Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a firm, microfinance institution, or bank, with a good command of information systems;
         In-depth knowledge of internal control standards;
     Strong data analysis and report preparation skills;
     Ability to work in a team, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively;
     Ability to work independently and take initiative; Excellent knowledge of commercial law and OHADA law;
     Specialized knowledge of banking and microfinance regulations in the CEMAC zone; 
     Excellent knowledge of information system control.
     Proficient in computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher) and banking software (Cloudbank, etc.).
5. Personal Qualities:
     Excellent interpersonal skills;
     meticulousness and strong analytical and summarization abilities;
     excellent written and oral communication skills 
     and a high level of listening and understanding of operational staff.
