African Capability Network (ACN) is recruiting a Stock & Logistics Manager (SLM) based in Douala for a client
with travel throughout the territory covered by the company.
In his daily activity, the Stock & Logistics Manager reports to the Head of Supply Chain. The Stock & Logistics Manager is responsible for the smooth running of product flows so that the goods circulate correctly and smoothly between the different entities and arrive safely at their destination. He chooses the most optimal and efficient mode of transporting goods. The Stock & Logistics Manager also supervises the supply, reception, control and storage of goods within the various warehouses for which he is responsible.
The Stock & Logistics Manager plays a strategic role within our supply chain. A true conductor of the flow of goods, he supervises all operations, from receipt of products to their shipment, including storage and preparation of orders. Its main objective is to guarantee efficiency and cost optimization while ensuring an impeccable level of service to our customers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Optimized inventory management:
Analyze demand and product rotation to define optimal inventory levels.
Implement and manage relevant inventory management methods (FIFO, LIFO, etc.).
Direct regular physical inventories and ensure accuracy.
Manage supplies from suppliers, negotiate prices and deadlines and manage the entire import part with the Head of Supply Chain.
Propose areas for improvement and development of the logistics chain from the order to the end customer as well as reverse logistics.
Warehouse operational excellence:
Organize the warehouse for better storage and picking efficiency.
Define optimized storage strategies, supervise and ensure the handling of goods.
Contribute to the choice of location and strategic implementation of storage points (relay points)
Guarantee scrupulous compliance with safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse.
Order preparation and shipping:
Supervise the preparation and packaging of field orders.
Select the most suitable mode of transport based on time and costs.
Ensure strict compliance with delivery times and monitor shipments until receipt.
Team management:
Supervise and motivate the stock and logistics team to achieve set objectives.
Effectively delegate tasks and ensure ongoing staff training.

PROFILE RESEARCH
Minimum Bac+2 training in logistics, inventory management or commerce.
Successful experience (minimum 3 years) in a similar position.
Mastery of inventory management and logistics software.
Knowledge of transport and storage regulations.
Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
Fluency in English (written and oral).
Mastery of office tools (Office Suite, Google Sheets, etc.)
