CARE operates in 100 countries and implements more than 1,000 emergency and development projects in collaboration with government and local development actors. Assignment :
Under the supervision of the Senior Logistics and Security Manager, the Asset Officer ensures the efficient, transparent and compliant management of CARE Cameroon’s assets (vehicles, IT equipment, furniture, technical equipment, etc.) from acquisition to decommissioning, ensuring their traceability, use, security and valuation according to CARE USA standards and donor requirements.

RESPONSIBILITY 1 : Asset Management
* Maintain physical and digital inventory of assets.
* Ensure labeling, recording and tracking of movements.

* Manage allocations, transfers, assignments and disposals according to procedures.
* Keep ownership documents (invoices, delivery notes, PO)
* Ensure the management of preventive and curative maintenance of equipment
* Ensure follow-up in conjunction with designated service providers (maintain a database, preferably under framework contracts, of the service providers)
RESPONSIBILITY 2 : Control, audit and compliance
* Participate in internal and external audits.
* Apply internal procedures and fixed asset management policy
* Identify risks linked to poor management (loss, theft, non-use, etc.) and propose solutions
* Collaborate with the procurement department to monitor orders and deliveries
* Ensure reconciliation with accounting (Voucher) and people software
* Be familiar with lessor rules and general principles regarding asset management
RESPONSIBILITY 3 : IT Management
* Asset database management
* Use of asset management software / packages
* Synchronization of data between sites
* Coordination with the IT team for software or hardware updates
* Scanning, archiving asset-related documents and organizing files in shared systems (SharePoint, Teams)
RESPONSIBILITY 4 : Reporting and visualization
* Preparation of reports for audits or donors
* Visualization of asset data by site, lessor, status…
* Fixed asset file tracking for fixed assets (Value greater than $5,000)
* Carry out the half-yearly physical inventory of equipment and materials
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
KNOW
Diploma :
* Have at least a BAC+3 in IT or Management.
* Professional certifications (recommended)
* Knowledge of computer maintenance.
Experiences :
* At least three (3) years of experience in a similar position with an international NGO
