Description
Missions & Main activities
· Participate in the definition of the development and development strategy monitoring the life of the CS & PS core network
Develop the strategic plan for the CS & PS core network
Ensure life cycle management (software & hardware) of equipment taking into account
o Manufacturers’ recommendations
o Trends and recommendations from the group
o Technological developments in the field
Propose and keep up to date the architecture and reference documentation of the CS & PS core network.
Develop functional and organic architectures based on the needs of the services and a set of given constraints (cost, sizing, availability of functions, Group planning rules, carbon footprint, etc.).
Present, defend and validate architectural choices and ensure their documentation.
Support the implementation of the architecture.
Evaluate (or coordinate the evaluation) the impacts of a new architecture on the existing one.
Design/maintain documents allowing easy and efficient operation of the mobile packet core network
o Cabling diagrams
o Topology of subsystem equipment
o Other documents
Maintain the architecture and reference documentation of the CS core network domain & P.S.
Make available and up-to-date the information that the regulator needs
Make medium and long-term resource usage forecasts, taking into account business hypotheses, and make extensions as a result
Size the core network resources (processors, interfaces, equipment)
Monitor quality indicators and equipment/resource loads
Conduct extensions
Optimize the use of existing resources
Participate in the development and monitoring of the execution of the annual budget (CAPEX) of the area
Identify the budgetary operations of the area in year N-1.
Create the budget taking into account the forecasts and needs of the company, the recommendations of the group and suppliers, technological developments, the life cycle of equipment, etc.
Ensure the completion of budgetary operations (CAPEX) once these these validated
Manage projects and optimization operations in the core network area with all the different internal & external stakeholders (business, group, suppliers, etc.) and in compliance with the procedures in place (TTM, change management, etc.)
Monitor the execution of projects with suppliers
Produce work orders, validated by management, and carried out by operation maintenance technicians
Monitor the execution of Work Orders
Harmonious integration of new solutions into the existing network
Ensure technological monitoring and competitive
Monitor developments in technologies in the core network area
Support operational teams
Propose corrective “troubleshooting” actions
Propose improvement solutions
Qualifications
Training: Bac+5 telecoms or IT engineer
Experience: at least 1 year in the telecommunications sector and in particular the Core Network domain
