Job Description
The portfolio manager is responsible for
managing and optimizing
financial asset portfolios on behalf of the brokerage firm’s clients
. His main objective is to grow
his clients’ investments while respecting their
risk profile and financial objectives.
Main Responsibilities
 Investment Analysis and Strategy:
o Analyze financial markets,companies’ financial
informationo Define investment strategiesadapted to the objectives and risk profileof each client.o Select financial assets (stocks,bonds, funds, etc.) to be included in theportfolios. Portfolio Management:o Execute orders to buy and sellfinancial assets.o Monitor and analyze portfolio performance.o Adjust portfolios according tomarket developments andclient needs.o Manage risks associated withinvestments.  Customer Relations: o Advise clients on theirinvestments and answer theirquestions.portfolioperformanceinvestment strategies implemented.o Maintain a relationship of trust withclients.Required Skills and Qualifications  Education: o Minimum Bac+3 degreein finance, economics, management orapplied mathematics.o Professional certification inportfolio management (CFA, CAIA,etc.) is an asset.  Experience: o Significant experience inportfolio management or financial analysis.o Good knowledge offinancial markets and financial instruments.  Skills: o Excellent analytical anddecision-making skills.portfolio managementtools and softwareo Strongcommunication and customer relationship skills.o Rigor, organization and sense ofconfidentiality. Personal Qualities  Passion for financial markets. Ability to work under pressure and managestress. Team spirit and sense of initiative. Integrity and professional ethics.







Work Environment (Position based in Yaoundé)
The portfolio manager works closely with financial analysts, investment
advisors and other members of the management team. He is in regular contact with clients to advise them and report on the management of their portfolios. Remuneration and Benefits The remuneration is composed of a fixed salary and a variable portion linked to the performance of the portfolios managed. Benefits mainly include bonuses, health coverage, and other social benefits. Career Prospects The portfolio manager can also specialize in a particular area of portfolio management , such as fund management or wealth management .
