📌 1. Main Mission
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining, controlling, and monitoring the company’s accounting and financial operations in compliance with SYSCOHADA accounting standards and applicable tax regulations.
The successful candidate will ensure the reliability of financial information, monitor cash flow, and prepare financial statements to support business operations.
🔑 2. Main Responsibilities
- Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers in accordance with SYSCOHADA standards.
- Record, verify, and classify accounting transactions while ensuring the accuracy and traceability of supporting documents.
- Monitor cash transactions, receipts, disbursements, and bank reconciliations.
- Control sales transactions, invoicing, and payments from customers and to suppliers.
- Monitor and account for inventory in collaboration with sales outlet managers.
- Prepare tax and social security declarations and ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines.
- Participate in periodic accounting closures and the preparation of financial statements.
- Produce financial reports and dashboards to monitor expenses, revenue, and cash flow.
- Contribute to internal controls and the improvement of accounting and financial procedures.
🎓 3. Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position, preferably in the trade or distribution sector.
- Good knowledge of SYSCOHADA accounting standards and Cameroonian tax regulations.
- Proficiency in office software, particularly Microsoft Excel, and at least one accounting software package.
- Strong skills in general accounting, cash management, and monitoring commercial transactions.
- Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills.
