CONTEXT
Educaid is an Italian NGO active in the field of international cooperation and duly registered in Cameroon .
Within the framework of the EMPLOYMENT project , funded by AICS β Italian Cooperation , Educaid is implementing actions aimed at strengthening employability, vocational training and socio-economic inclusion of young people, women and people with disabilities.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Local Project Administrator ensures the administrative, financial and documentary management of the EMPLOYMENT project, in compliance with Educaid’s internal procedures , AICS rules and Cameroonian legislation .
The main responsibilities include:
- Administrative and accounting management of the project at the local level
- Systematic and accurate recording of expenses in Educaid’s online management software
- Preparation of the first accounting note and archiving of supporting documents
- Support for the preparation of financial reports and accountability to the donor (AICS)
- Payment management (salaries, suppliers, service providers)
- Complete management of staff salaries, including the calculation and payment of taxes, duties, social security contributions and other charges stipulated by Cameroonian legislation.
- Support for the administrative management of local staff contracts
- Application of procurement procedures and verification of expenditure compliance
- Administrative supervision of project partners, including monitoring administrative and financial compliance and adherence to applicable procedures
- Close collaboration with the Program Manager and the central administrative department of Educaid
- Support for audits, internal and external controls

PROFILE SOUGHT
Essential requirements
- Bac+ 4 or 5 level training in administration, accounting, management, economics or similar field;
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in administrative and financial functions;
- Good knowledge of Cameroonian labor and tax legislation;
- Excellent command ofΒ FrenchΒ (written and spoken);
- Excellent command of computer tools, especially Excel;
- Rigour, organisational skills, reliability and autonomy;
Strengths
- Experience on projects funded byΒ AICS β Italian Cooperation;
- Knowledge of the European Union’s PRAG;
- Experience with international NGOs;
- Knowledge of procurement procedures;
- Knowledge of the Italian language;
- Sensitivity to the issues of inclusion and disability;
TERMS
- Fixed-term local contract, in accordance with Cameroonian legislation
- Compensation based on experience and project budget
- Position based at theΒ Educaid office in YaoundΓ©
