Position: Maritime Transport and Operations Manager (M/F) 

Missions: 

Reporting to the General Management, the Maritime Transport and Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating the Maritime Transport of petroleum products and containers activities, as well as supervising para-maritime activities; 
To this end, he/she:
For the Maritime Transport of petroleum products and containers activity 
Plans ship itineraries and ports to be served according to cargo,

Organizes and supervises the operation, scheduled maintenance and repair work of the fleet’s vessels,

Ensures compliance with maritime navigation safety procedures by vessels and crews,

Ensures the maintenance of classes and compliance with regulations as set out by the IOM and the Merchant Navy in Cameroon,

Manages crews and all other seagoing personnel,

Serves as an interface with all administrations involved in maritime activity.

For Para-maritime Operations (Transit, Maritime AgencyConsignment)
Manages customs formalities for the transit of goods and all administrative operations related to ship calls,

Ensures the relationship with shipowners, port authorities and any other stakeholders to guarantee the safety of operations,

Ensures the representation of GULFCAM SAS at port conferences for the scheduling of ship calls,
Develops the client portfolio.

Required training and experience: 

1- BAC+5 in maritime sciences/transport and maritime operations/shipping/port management/Logistics/supply chain or any other equivalent diploma.

Significant experience in the maritime industry of at least 10 years, particularly in management or supervisory positions.

Certifications in maritime safety and maritime operations management.

Desired profile: 

1- Be Cameroonian aged 40 years or less at the time of recruitment,
2- Be of good moral character and enjoy his civil and moral rights,
3- Have a good command of French and English,
4- Have a perfect knowledge of the commercial circuit,
5- Know the maritime industry, 
6- Be autonomous, skilled negotiator, organized and rigorous,
7- Be able to manage and lead, 
8- Be able to work under pressure,
9- Have self-control, professional ethics,
9- Master the computer tool.
