Axe Media is a 100% digital generalist media outlet that provides quality, sourced, verified and relevant information to Cameroonian youth on social networks (more than 300,000 subscribers).
We want to create a world where every young Cameroonian, through enriching and accessible information, becomes an informed, conscious citizen actively engaged in the challenges of their society.
Responsibilities
As a Multimedia Journalist or Video Journalist (VJ) intern, you will play a key role in the newsroom for a period of 6 months (full time) , participating in the entire process of producing news content designed for social media.
Your responsibilities will include:
To actively monitor Cameroonian news, evaluating the relevance and credibility of the information.
Write short articles and turn them into infographics using Canva before publishing them on social media.
Write scripts for engaging informational videos.
Shooting videos in various formats, including voice-over, face-to-camera, vox pop, and field reports.
Video editing on CapCut will be considered an additional asset.
Qualifications
Graduate in journalism, communication, digital media or a similar field
It is essential to want to learn with enthusiasm and motivation.
Proactivity, ability to work in a team, and a serious attitude
