General Presentation
INTERSOS is an independent, non-profit humanitarian organization committed to assisting victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts. Its activities are based on the principles of solidarity, justice, human dignity, equal rights and opportunities, respect for diversity and coexistence, with particular attention to the most vulnerable and unprotected people. INTERSOS began operating in Cameroon in 2015 with an intervention in the Far North and three years later expanded its activities to the Northwest and Southwest regions. Over the years, INTERSOS has developed activities in multiple sectors, including protection and psychosocial support, primary healthcare, distribution of essential goods, shelter, water and sanitation, and education.
INTERSOS’s internship program offers recent graduates in Logistics, Human Resources, Finance, or SERA/MEAL the opportunity for practical learning in the humanitarian sector and the acquisition of significant and enriching experience, both academically, professionally, and personally.
This internship with INTERSOS is an ideal way to discover how an NGO operates and to become aware of one’s own ability to interact within a professional environment.
Furthermore, the internship program provides the opportunity to develop field experience, collaborate with INTERSOS’s humanitarian staff, and ultimately consider building a career in the humanitarian field.
To this end, INTERSOS is seeking recent graduates in Logistics and Transportation, Human Resources, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, International Development, or any other related field connected to the four main areas mentioned above. Education
Requirements : A minimum of two years of post-secondary education (BACC+2) in Logistics, HR, Finance, or SERA/MEAL . Language Skills : Fluency in one of two languages: French or English (written and spoken). Prerequisites/Eligibility/Attitudes : Knowledge in Logistics, HR, Finance, or SERA/MEAL ; Strong motivation ;
