1. CONTEXT:
AfriYAN is the Cameroonian branch of the African Network of Adolescents and Youth dealing with
issues of sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence,harmful cultural practices and family planning, whose mission is to “Promote and increase the participationof young people in the development of Africa and Cameroon by strengthening their leadershipand advocacy capacity, also by promoting their participation in the development and implementation ofpolicies and programs through national, sub-regional mechanisms andgovernment institutions. A world in which every young person expresses their full potential.”As part of its commitment to strengthening its staff and maximizing its impact onbeneficiaries, AfriYAN Cameroon is launching a call for applications to recruit assistants tosupport its core team. This initiative is part of an approach aimed at improving project managementand ensuring rigorous monitoring, better coordination and optimal execution ofactivities on the ground. The AfriYAN Cameroon core team, composed of dynamic young people,plays a crucial role in the design, planning and implementation of projects. However,these responsibilities require additional operational support to ensure the effectiveness ofthe organization and the success of the initiatives.Through recruitment, the new members will be responsible for contributing tothe existing team and raising the voice of their peers and formulating recommendations toimprove the quality of life of Cameroonian adolescents and young people.The young people, future members of the core team, must be able to touch on multiple themesaddressed by AfriYAN Cameroon: Mental health and emotional well-being; Education and vocational training; Access to quality sexual and reproductive health services; Gender equality and women’s rights; Prevention of violence and sexual abuse; Citizen participation and youth leadership; Prevention of female genital mutilation; Prevention of early marriages; Safe abortion; Youth peace and security; Positive masculinity; HIV-AIDS/STIs/PMTCT.A jury composed of members of AfriYAN Cameroon will examine the applications and determine themembers who will assist the central team. 2. OBJECTIVE OF THE CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The main objective of this call for applications is to recruit motivated, dynamic and competent young volunteers
to assist key managers in the implementation of AfriYAN Cameroon’s projects and initiatives. The volunteers’ mission will be to contribute to the efficiency of operations and the success of projects within the organization. 3. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES  Strengthen the efficiency of internal operations: Provide technical and logistical support to core team members.  Support the achievement of programmatic objectives: Assist in the implementation of activities, while respecting deadlines and available resources.  Promote civic involvement: Offer volunteers an opportunity to act for social causes, while developing their personal and professional skills.  Develop dynamic collaboration: Create a harmonious and productive work environment between volunteers and managers of each department. 4. SELECTION PROCEDURES: We are looking for young people aged between 20 and 25 to join the core team of AfriYAN Cameroon. These young people will be responsible for assisting the current team members in carrying out their tasks. 5. APPLICATION PERIOD: Applications are open from April 3 to 21, 2025. 6. REQUIRED PROFILE  1 Administrative and Financial Assistant;  1 Human Resources Assistant;  1 Program Assistant;  1 Supply and Stock Management Assistant;  1 Budget Controller Assistant;  1 Management Controller Assistant;  1 Female Genital Mutilation Assistant;  1 Communication Assistant;  1 Digital Communication and Innovation Assistant;  1 Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant;  1 YouthFP Platform Assistant;  1 Community Mobilization Assistant. 7. CANDIDATE PROFILE Candidates must meet the following criteria:  Be between 20 and 25 years old.  Be an active member of an association.  Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, economics and management, banking and finance, computer science, project management, monitoring and evaluation, inventory management.  Have a natural leadership spirit and be able to work in a team.  Be dynamic, organized, and able to manage various tasks with rigor.  Respect the confidentiality and ethical principles of the organization.  Know how to work under pressure.  Be a resident of Yaoundé.
 Be passionate about civic engagement and volunteering.
 Be motivated to positively impact your peers in the communities.
 Be motivated to advocate for improving the quality of life of adolescents and
young people, particularly in health and education.
8. HOW TO APPLY:

physical copy to the headquarters of AfriYAN Cameroon in Yaoundé (located at the new Nsimeyong road,
ministerial entrance) during the period from April 3 to 21, 2025 no later than 5:00 p.m. In a sealed envelope with
the mention: Application “ASSISTANT RECRUITMENT (Specify the chosen position”,
AfriYAN Cameroon.
9. COMPOSITION OF THE FILE
Candidates must submit a complete file including the following elements:
 Cover letter addressed to the Executive Secretary AfriYAN Cameroon.
 CV.
 Photocopy of the highest diploma obtained.
 Location map of your home.
 Photocopy of the national identity card (CNI).
 4 half-photo cards.
10. SELECTION PROCESS:
 April 3, 2025 launch of the call for applications;
 April 21 deadline for submitting applications;
 April 23 to 25 counting and selection of candidates;
 April 28 notification of candidates selected for an interview;
 April 29 to 30 interview of candidates;
 May 2nd successful candidates will be informed;
