General Presentation
INTERSOS is an independent, non-profit humanitarian organization committed to assisting
victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts. Its activities are based on the principles of solidarity, justice, human dignity, equal rights and opportunities, respect for diversity and coexistence, with special attention to the most vulnerable and unprotected people. INTERSOS began operating in Cameroon in 2015 for an intervention in the Far North and three years later expanded its activities to the North West and South West regions. Over the years, INTERSOS has developed activities in multiple sectors, such as protection and psychosocial support, primary health care, distribution of essential goods, shelter, water and sanitation, and education. The INTERSOS Academic Internship Program provides students currently training in the fields of Logistics, Human Resources, Finance or SERA/MEAL with the opportunity to learn hands-on in the humanitarian sector and gain meaningful and enriching experience both academically and professionally and personally. This experience (internship) with INTERSOS is an ideal way to discover how an NGO works and to become aware of one’s own ability to interact with the professional environment. In addition, the internship program provides the opportunity to gain experience in the field, to collaborate with INTERSOS humanitarian operators and finally to consider building a career in the humanitarian field. To this end, INTERSOS is looking for students in Logistics and Transport, Human Resources, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, International Development, or any other related field linked to the 4 main fields mentioned above . Requirements Education ▪ Be a student and have a minimum BACC + 2 in the field of Logistics, HR, Finance or SERA/MEAL Language ▪ Good knowledge of one of the 02 languages: French or English (written and spoken). Attitudes
▪ Knowledge in the fields of Logistics, HR, Finance or
SERA/MEAL
▪ The candidate must be in the process of preparing a thesis, a dissertation
or an internship report;
▪ Be regularly registered as a student in a university or
higher education institution;
▪ High motivation;
▪ Great adaptability;
▪ Adherence to the principles of INTERSOS.
▪ The candidate must reside in one of the cities mentioned
ICT: Basic knowledge:
▪ Have excellent mastery of IT tools: Word, Excel, Power
Point and MS Outlook; Google, etc.
