I. Introduction:

The Center for Research on Emerging and Re-emerging Diseases, officially created in 2009 by decision , is one of the 4 IMPM Research Centers. Its missions focus on research into emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases of immediate or potential importance in Public Health of national or international scope. As part of its missions and under the authority of a CREMER Chief, the Center develops and coordinates research activities on its own initiative or in collaboration with international partners, like the IRD with which an agreement collaboration has existed for many years. It is in this context of collaboration that one of the most important partnership tools of the IRD, the LMI (International Mixed Laboratory) has existed for almost 10 years between the TransVIHMI Research Unit based in Montpellier and CREMER.

As part of the implementation of the ELDORADO project, it is necessary to recruit a 100% Accountant who will be responsible for daily management and the production of the financial report to be transmitted to the Principal Investigator.

It should be noted that the ELDORADO study is a project to implement the latest WHO recommendations on drug treatment in people living with HIV. This project is being carried out in two sites, including one in CREMER.

II. Responsibilities:
The Accountant will work under the supervision of the Head of Administrative and Financial Services (RAF) of CREMER and he/she will have the following tasks:
    Human Resources

• Maintain the project personnel file up to date including permission requests, leave requests ,..;
• Prepare monthly payroll including bank transfer of salaries to staff bank accounts;
• Ensure payment of social security contributions to the CNPS and tax.

     Finance and Accounting

• Launch the process of developing the supplier file
• Process payments to suppliers / contractors
• Maintain a standard list of supporting documents to be provided as justification of expenses for each type of expense and communicate this standard list to CREMER staff ;
• Supervise the management of the cash and bank of the project account, maintain and regularly update the cash books / bank book (Excel file and in the software);
• Oversee the management of bank accounts, including documentation and maintaining an effective relationship with the bank;
• Supervise the monthly and annual closure of the project account, submitting all necessary documents (paper and electronic copies) to the CREMER administration;
• Prepare the financial report using accounting software and send the monthly and quarterly financial report of the project to the investigator on time;
• Prepare, consolidate and present the monthly cash flow forecast;


• Ensure full compliance with CREMER’s financial/accounting regulations;
• Perform any other task at the request of the PI.
• Ensure the financial analysis of offers
• Prepare CREMER’s monthly financial report and submit it to RAF

III. Qualifications:

• University degree or equivalent in administration and finance (at least BTS in accounting)
• Good mastery of administrative and accounting principles;
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar field;
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French if possible;
• Very good analytical skills;
• Good communication skills;
• Good computer skills
• Autonomous
• Good command of IT tools: word, excel, Powerpoint, etc.
• Good command of accounting software: QUICKBOOKS, SAGE, TOM2PRO, etc.
