Action Against Hunger is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO),
International, apolitical, non-denominational and non-profit.
For our operations in Cameroon, we are urgently looking for:
ACCOUNTANT
I. PURPOSES OF THE POSITION
Ensure the management of banking operations, the rigorous recording and archiving of
financial transactions, and act as a focal point for relations with
banking institutions.
II. MISSIONS OF THE POSITION
Mission 1: Manage the coordination bank
Receive and verify the eligibility of invoices presented for bank payment (compliance);
Check transaction authorizations and prepare necessary payments (checks or online)

Monitor and request timely payment of bank due dates (rental invoices, internet,
telephone, security, etc.);
Monitor and prepare timely payments related to tax administration and social security (IRPP,
withholding tax, lease, CNPS);
Prepare transfers to bases (in collaboration with the RDD Finance Assistant);
Record financial transactions in the bank book;
Carry out the monthly closing of the bank (checking and reconciliation, editing of
accounting documents, verification of supporting documents);
Propose possible improvements to the accounting procedures for advances;
Enforce the organization’s financial rules.
Mission 2: Accounting support mission
Verification of field accounting (accounting codes, labels, third-party code);
Prepare comments on the bases on accounting aspects and share with the Chief
Accountant;
Preparation of the monthly bundle (physical and digital).
Mission 3: Prepare audits
Organize the monthly physical control of the mission accounting documents (presentation, translation,
numbering, etc.);
Participate in the pre-audit (preparation, review of accounting documents);
Support in the extraction of accounting documents requested by auditors.
Mission 4: Contribute to the archiving of mission accounting documents
Control of physical and digital archiving (sampling);
Support the physical archiving of accounting documents in binders by lessor contract (upon
request from the supervisor).
Mission 5: Manage banking relationships
Preparation and transmission of vouchers for power;
Administrative follow-up of other requests;
Technical follow-up in case of problem.
III. DIPLOMA / LEVEL OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BAC+2 in accounting, finance and management, with 2 years of professional experience in a
similar position.
IV. REQUIRED SKILLS
Computer skills: Proficiency in office automation tools and accounting software;
Languages: Excellent command of French, both written and spoken. Knowledge of English is an
additional asset;
