Purpose of the Position:
Reporting directly to the Director of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Supervisor assists them in the strategic, operational, and methodological management of the function.
They ensure independent critical reviews of auditors’ work and guarantee compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
They ensure the continuity of the function’s activities in the absence of the Director of Internal Audit.
Main Responsibilities
: 1. Supervision and Quality Assurance:
Supervise all internal audit engagements (planning, execution, rectification, and follow-up of recommendations).
Conduct critical reviews of work programs, worksheets, and engagement reports.
Ensure compliance with International Standards on Internal Auditing (ISA) and regulatory requirements.
Lead and strengthen the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement (QAIP) framework.
2. Strategic Support to the Director of Internal Audit
• Contribute to the development, updating, and monitoring of the risk-based audit plan.
• Participate in methodological decisions and the prioritization of audit engagements.
– Ensure the continuity of the function’s activities in case of absence or unavailability

3. Interface with Third Parties and Governance
Respond to requests from supervisory authorities, auditors, inspection bodies, and external partners.
Prepare files and materials for the Audit Committee and governance bodies.
– Contribute to the drafting of the annual internal control report.

4. Team Management and Development
Supervise, support, and evaluate internal auditors. Contribute to the skills development and
professionalization of the audit team.

Required Profile:
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Audit, Finance, Banking,
Risk Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience, including:
at least 5 years in bank internal audit, inspection, or a specialized firm;
proven experience in supervising and reviewing complex audit engagements. Excellent knowledge of banking risks, internal control, and governance.
Technical Skills:
In-depth mastery of IIA standards and risk-based audit methodologies
.
Solid expertise in internal control and risk management systems. Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
Excellent report writing skills for high-stakes situations.
Behavioral skills:
Natural leadership and strong professional credibility.
Ability to arbitrate and make decisions.
Excellent communication skills (Management and Audit Committee level).
Integrity, independence of mind, and a strong sense of confidentiality.

Certifications and assets
: Highly desirable professional certifications: CIA, CISA, CRMA, ACCA.
Experience interacting with supervisory authorities and audit committees. Proficiency in audit and data analysis tools.
