Job Title: Operations Cashier

· Contract Type: Permanent contract (CDI) – Full-time – 3-month probation period, renewable once
· Schedule: 12-hour cycles, 2 days worked / 2 days off (alternating day shifts 6am–6pm or night shifts 6pm–6am)
Job Summary
The cashier is the face of the company at the point of sale and the primary guarantor of operational compliance. They take bets, collect stakes, manage the cash drawer with rigor, and ensure that game rules are respected – including the prohibition of minors and transaction monitoring. As an employee, they work solely under the authority of the company.
Main Duties
- Taking bets and cash collection
- Welcome bettors, record sports and virtual bets on the terminal.
- Collect stakes and verify the accuracy of each ticket before validation.
- Inform players about how games and odds work, without ever advising them on their choices.
- Cash drawer management and remittance
- Maintain the cash log for the position and ensure consistency between amounts collected and software data.
- Perform cash drawer reconciliation at each shift change, with double counting and signed report.
- Remit all proceeds according to company procedure.
- Control and compliance
- Refuse gambling to any minor and to any person subject to a gambling ban.
- Apply required customer identification checks (KYC), particularly for significant winnings.
- Report immediately any incident, cash discrepancy, suspicious behavior, or attempted fraud.
- point of sale maintenance
- Keep the workstation clean, tidy, and welcoming; report any equipment malfunction.
Candidate Profile
Experience – Minimum 1 year as a cashier or operator position in sports and virtual betting. Knowledge of a betting terminal and odds is essential.
Skills
- Mastery of quick calculations and cash handling.
- Comfortable with a cash register terminal and betting software.
- Knowledge of sports betting (odds, types of bets) and virtual games.
- Basic knowledge of Mobile Money (Orange Money, MTN MoMo) is appreciated.
Personal Qualities
- Irreproachable honesty and rigor in cash management.
- Customer service orientation and professional presentation.
- Vigilance and firmness to enforce rules, including refusing minors.
- Availability for a continuous schedule, both day and night.
Working Conditions
- Schedule: 12-hour cycles, 2 days worked followed by 2 days off, alternating between day and night shifts.
- Rest: In accordance with the Labor Code, with rest days integrated into the cycle.
- Status: Employee of the company, registered with CNPS, under the sole authority of the company.
Specific Obligations
The following commitments are essential to the position and apply in all circumstances, whether or not they are recalled daily:
- Absolute prohibition of allowing a minor to gamble.
- Formal prohibition of placing bets for one’s own account.
- Prohibition of granting betting loans to players (credit play).
- Strict respect for the confidentiality of gaming data and internal procedures.
- Application of anti-money laundering vigilance obligations (AML/CFT) according to company instructions.
