Position Available: CREDIT RISK ANALYST
JOB MISSION To participate in managing credit risks related to financing requested by the Bank’s clients, in compliance with legal obligations and the Bank’s interests.
JOB ACTIVITIES • Conduct counter-analyses of credit files according to the current delegated procedure; • Analyze clients’ credit risks and quantify credit risk (rating methods, scoring, etc.); • Rate companies using the group’s rating tool; • Present the counter-analysis of files to the bank’s lending committee; • Verify the completeness of the client’s regulatory file or credit file presented to the lending committee, respecting the counter-analysis deadlines: Format credit files under Group delegation and respond to requests for additional information; • Analyze the sectoral and competitive context, and companies’ financial data using balance sheets and income statements; • Research all information likely to shed light on the potential risk taken by the institution; • Monitor compliance with applicable limits (counterparty, sectoral, etc.); • Verify the completeness of files submitted to the bank’s lending committee; • Conduct credit counter-analyses based on analyses performed by the commercial line and issue opinions on the validity of the arrangements and guarantees.
CANDIDATE PROFILE: Higher education diploma (minimum Bachelor’s +4) or banking diploma (ITB); A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Lending department would be an asset. Knowledge Knowledge of financial analysis techniques, financial ratios, and intermediate management balances (IMB); • General knowledge of banking activity, structures and processing circuits, procedures, and regulations; • Knowledge of bank accounting, standards, and procedures relating to banking operations; • Knowledge of the range of products and services offered to customers; • Knowledge of loan application preparation and mastery of the loan processing procedure; • Proficiency in computer skills (office software, bank software). Skills : • Ability to analyze a balance sheet and income statement; • Ability to conduct sector studies and analyze financing needs;
• Ability to present and defend a position on a matter (committees, senior decision-maker, network);
• Ability to research information and update knowledge.
