About the institution
As part of its launch, a second-tier microfinance institution is recruiting a
Deputy General Manager (DGA) to support the General Manager in the daily management,
implementation of strategic projects, and operational deployment of the institution.
Main missions
The Deputy General Manager assists the General Manager in the management of the institution. His
main responsibilities will be:
• Participate in the definition and execution of the institution’s strategy.
• Supervise certain key functions (e.g., finance, operations, credit, IT or HR), depending on the
selected profile.
• Contribute to the implementation of internal control, compliance and
risk management procedures.
• Ensure the proper execution of commercial and operational activities.
• Participate in the preparation of activity, financial and regulatory reports for the
Board of Directors and COBAC.
• Represent the institution in the absence of the Director General.
• Monitor performance and propose corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development of institutional culture and the upskilling of
teams.
Desired profile
• Bac+5 level diploma in finance, management, economics, banking or similar fields.
• Professional experience of at least 5 years in a position of responsibility in a
financial institution, ideally in microfinance or in the banking sector.
• Good understanding of regulatory issues in the CEMAC zone.
• Analytical mind, rigor, ability to make operational decisions.
• Good team management skills, collaborative leadership.
• Mastery of financial management tools, reporting, and digital tools.
• Good interdepartmental communication and coordination skills.
Languages:
• Fluency in French (mandatory)
• Fluent in English
