1) CONTEXT:
Founded in 1980, the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) whose mission is to accompany, serve, and defend the rights of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons, working in more than 50 countries worldwide. The JRS is a Catholic work of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). Present in Cameroon for over 10 years, JRS provides support to refugees, internally displaced persons, asylum seekers, and vulnerable host communities, respecting human dignity and cultural diversity, without distinction of origin, gender, or belief.

2) PURPOSE
This call for applications aims to recruit interns to support the Program, Logistics, and Human Resources departments of the JRS office in Maroua (CMR 05). These 4-month internships are part of a professional development approach and offer selected candidates a structured immersion within an international humanitarian organization, as well as direct exposure to its internal procedures, humanitarian standards, and operational practices.

3) MAIN DUTIES
• Program Department:

o Support for the implementation of program activities in the field.

o Support for the monitoring and evaluation of activities and data collection.

o Support for beneficiaries (reception, orientation, awareness-raising).

o Participation in the drafting of activity reports.

• Logistics Department:

o Support for inventory and equipment management.

o Participation in purchasing and receiving.

o Support in the logistical organization of activities.

o Filing and archiving of logistics documents.

• Human Resources Department:

o Support for personnel administration (files, contracts, archiving).

o Support for monitoring attendance, leave, and absences.

o Support for organizing recruitment (filing applications, sending invitations).

o Support for updating HR databases.

4) REQUIRED PROFILE
A. Program Department:
• Bachelor’s degree (3-4 years of higher education) in Management, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related field.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program is an asset.

• Strong writing and analytical skills.

A. Logistics Department: ā€¢ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Interest in managing humanitarian projects.

• Rigor, attention to detail, and respect for confidentiality standards. B. Logistics Department: ā€¢ Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). ā€¢ Good writing skills and proficiency in administrative correspondence. ā€¢ Basic knowledge of logistics procedures (purchasing, stock, inventory). ā€¢ Ability to handle reception, document management, and administrative follow-up. ā€¢ Driver’s license (B) preferred (but not required). C.
