About the Position
Smart Touch Design, a creative agency based in Yaoundé, is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join its dynamic team as a professional intern.
The successful candidate will create visual content for various platforms, prepare print-ready files, and contribute to developing visual identities for clients.
🎨 Key Responsibilities
– Design visuals for social media, including posts, stories, banners, and promotional materials.
– Create print materials such as posters, flyers, business cards, banners, kakemono displays, and roll-up banners.
– Prepare customized designs for client products, including mugs, T-shirts, cushions, and gifts.
– Prepare and check files for screen printing, sublimation, and large-format printing, ensuring proper vectorization, resolution, colour management, and bleed settings.
– Contribute to developing brand guidelines and visual identity systems, including logos, colour palettes, typography, and design variations.
– Retouch and remove backgrounds from client photographs before printing to ensure optimal image quality.
🎓 Required Qualifications and Skills
– Training in graphic design, graphic arts, or visual communication. Minimum educational level: GCE A-Level/Baccalaureate or equivalent; an HND, DUT, or Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
– Recent graduate or candidate with less than two years of professional experience.
– Good command of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
– Knowledge of InDesign or Canva is an added advantage.
– Basic knowledge of print production requirements, including CMYK colour mode, vectorization, resolution, and bleed settings.
– Creativity, aesthetic sense, accuracy, and strong attention to detail.
– A portfolio of previous work is a significant advantage.
