Position:  Network and Systems Administrator
Contract Type: Permanent
Location:  Douala, Cameroon Salary: Negotiable

Main Mission:

As a Network and Systems Administrator at @fric Payments solutions, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the @fric group’s network and system infrastructure. You will ensure the availability, security, and performance of IT systems while actively participating in technological development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Network and systems infrastructure management:
    • Ensure the proper functioning of servers, routers, switches, firewalls and other network equipment.
    • Configure, monitor and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) and wireless networks (Wi-Fi).
    • Set up and maintain virtualization solutions (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Computer security:
    • Apply and update security policies to protect data and systems against cyber threats.
    • Monitor security incidents and implement fixes.
  • Technical support and assistance:
    • Provide level 2 and 3 support to internal teams and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Document procedures and configurations to ensure traceability.
  • Development projects:
    • Participate in the design and deployment of new technological solutions.
    • Collaborating with other IT teams to improve the existing infrastructure.

Required Profile:

  • Education:  Minimum of 3 years of higher education in computer science, networks, telecommunications or equivalent field.
  • Experience:  At least 5 years of experience in network and systems administration.
  • Technical skills:
    • Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, etc.).
    • Experience with operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
    • Knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG).
    • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Soft skills:
    • Autonomy, rigor and a sense of organization.
    • Ability to work under pressure and solve complex problems.
    • Good communication for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
