About The World We Want (3W)
3W Since its creation in January 2016, then the modification of its statutes, its
internal regulations, as well as its name in April 2023, the association THE WORLD WE WANT
(3W) has set itself the main goal of actively contributing to the strategies put in place by
the UN and the AU for the fight against unemployment, hunger, poverty, the protection of the environment
and biodiversity, in order to combine common efforts in the face of
growing food insecurity, violent insurgency perpetrated by extremists, environmental disaster
and the persistent structural deficit in terms of development in the
Lake Chad Basin region. However; it operates in the Far North Region, more precisely in
Diamaré (Maroua 1st, 2nd; 3rd; Bogo); Mayo Tsanaga (Mokolo); Mayo Danay (Maga)
Kousseri and Logone Birni.
3W’s areas of intervention:
– Child protection
– Fight against gender-based violence
– Peacebuilding and social cohesion
– Protection of the environment and biodiversity
– Education and vocational training
– Food security
– Public health
– PSEA (Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse)
– Civil documentation
– Housing, land and property
3W intervenes in these different areas in order to provide sustainable responses to the challenges
faced by vulnerable populations. 3W also applies a
gender-sensitive approach in the implementation of its activities.

Technical positions (Employment contracts)
• Finance Officer
Location: Maroua
Profile: Minimum 3 years of post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or management. At least 3 years of experience
in the financial management of humanitarian or development projects. Proficiency in accounting software (SAGE, QuickBooks, etc.) is preferred.
• Grants Manager
Location: Maroua
Profile: Bac+4/5 in project management, law, finance or international relations.
Proven experience in managing grants from international donors (USAID, EU, etc.).
Writing skills in French and English required.
THE WORLD WE WANT

• Program Officer
Location: Maroua
Profile: Minimum 3 years of a Bac+3 in sociology, public health, development, or
similar fields. Experience in coordinating and monitoring community projects is required. Proficiency in
planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting tools.
Recruitment of 9 community volunteers
Areas of intervention:
– Health (health, nutrition and reproductive health)
– Environment and natural resource management
– Sustainable agriculture
– Technology and digital innovation
Areas of intervention: Diamaré, Mayo-Tsanaga, Logone-et-Chari, Mayo-Danay
Profile: Young people aged 18 to 30, motivated and committed to the development of
their communities. Training or experience in one of the areas mentioned is an asset.
Community or associative involvement is highly valued.
Status: Volunteer (certificate provided)
