For consultants responsible for administrative, accounting, financial and tax assistance for 07 SMEs in Cameroon
1. Fako Capital is the first impact investment fund dedicated to entrepreneurs and SMEs in
Central Africa. In partnership with the Investisseurs & Partenaires group, we are committed to financing and supporting Startups, VSEs & SMEs with a strong economic, social and environmental impact, in order to actively participate in making the Cameroonian economy and that of the Central African sub-region more resilient and agile, while participating in the creation of local sector leaders. 2. As part of our activities, we intend to finance SMEs and Startups (for example in the agricultural sector, agribusiness, etc.) which generally need to strengthen their accounting and financial management to better manage their growth. To this end, to strengthen the accounting and financial organization of SMEs supported by our team, we are launching a call for expressions of interest to select service providers (firms or others) specialized and experienced in accounting, tax and financial management, who will work on a mission with the following details : Mission to be carried out: 3. The mission of the Consultant will consist of: Providing each financed SME with at least 2 experts to carry out the accounting organization and assistance, with the aim of having an expert present within the beneficiary company at least 3 times a week during the first months of the support; Supporting each SME to have reliable financial and accounting information in real time through the implementation of general accounting according to standards ( accounting organization, daily recording of flows, preparation of tax and social declarations, production of periodic financial statements, dashboard, etc.); Support each SME in setting up an information system using accounting software or any other suitable/adequate tool for monitoring operating costs and margins by product/cost center; Support each company in recruiting a qualified accountant (drafting the job description , selection, hiring formalities, etc.), or train the person in charge of accounting internally if necessary; Support each company on the administrative level: employee contracting, drafting procedures, etc.; Support each company in tax management and monitoring. 4. validation and submission of deliverables. It will take place in Douala, or Yaoundé, or in the Far North
and or in other cities of Cameroon depending on the geographical location of the SMEs.
5. The Director of Fako Capital invites eligible consultants to express their interest in providing the
services described above. Interested consultants (firms, consortium of firms, etc.) must
provide information indicating that they are qualified to carry out the mission, including:
– an institutional presentation and general experience of the consultant;
– a presentation of the consultant’s relevant experience in carrying out similar missions
supported by evidence of proper execution;
– a presentation of the key personnel available and mobilizable for the mission (CV to be attached),
in particular the personnel who will be dedicated to each financed SME;
– the consultant’s legal existence documents (Statutes, RCCM, VAT registration number, and RIB)
6. At the end of this call for expressions of interest, a maximum of six (06) qualified consultants will be
selected and will be invited to submit their technical and financial offers.
Submission: Expressions of interest must be written in French and must be submitted
