What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and talented Sales Representative PPC to join our team in Douala. He/she should have good knowledge of chemical composition and characteristics and be fluent in English and French.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate will be part of our Sales Team and mainly work to drive growth & sustainable value creation for the Polymers – Paints & coating – Contruction segment, through an entrepreneurial mindset. Through this role, he/she should have a perfect understanding of the value creation concept: Δvalue (CM x 4 – Receivables – Inventories).

Key responsibilities:

  • Understanding the industrial structure of the market.
  • Participate to transfer market presence into value creation by driving price, volume, receivables and inventories.
  • Participate to Build a pipeline of opportunities (segments & products) that will drive the success of Solevo on the long term in the region and underbuilt these with a business plan.
  • Building & managing partnerships including implementation of new partnerships.
  • Customer Management: Develop, optimize, and manage your customer portfolio in your segment. Follow up on financial capability (receivables, credit terms, financial statements) and their reach.
  • Supply and Inventory Management: Ensure actual and plan future volume through the S&OP cycle based on forecasted sales
  • Business development with new customers.

If you have…

Must-Have :

  • Master’s degree in Civil, Construction or Chemicals engineering field.
  • >5 years’ experience in sales or marketing in Polymers & Packaging, Paints & Coating.
  • Knowledge of the country’s industrial market and Polymers & Packaging, Paints & Coating.
  • Familiar with the local players of the industry
  • Knowledge of the global Polymers & Packaging, Paints & Coating composition and characteristics.
  • Exceptionally good presentation and written communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen in emerging industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers to understand their challenges or concerns with outcomes on sales targets.
  • Experience interpreting data and making product and process recommendations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM Software (Dynamics) has more.

Nice-to-Have:



Technical background: Sales &/or business development experience.
Good reporting and analytics skills on software (eg Tableaus or PowerBI)
Good level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and French (local language a plus)
