Box: 6560 YAOUNDÉ  Tel.: (237) 242 06 61 70 Email: info@mufidunion.com JOB DETAILS PROFILES SOUGHT: 2 INTERNAL CONTROL INTERNS INTERNSHIP DURATION: 3 months, possibly renewable LOCATION: MUFID Union Branch Offices and Technical Assistance Offices (BATs) in Douala, Yaoundé, and Bamenda SUPERVISORY: Head of the Permanent Control, Compliance, and Risk Department MISSION: The Internal Control Intern’s main mission is to ensure, within the MUFID Union Branch Offices and Technical Assistance Offices (BATs), the regular control of accounting documents submitted by the MUFIDs. They ensure the integrity, compliance, and security of the financial transactions carried out. Supporting the Branch Controller, they may be called upon to participate in on-site audit missions, thus contributing to strengthening the network’s permanent control system. ACTIVITIES Receiving and managing accounting documents – Ensure the regular receipt of accounting documents transmitted by the MUFIDs in the intervention area. – Verify the completeness and conformity of the batches of documents received. Analysis and processing of accounting documents – Sort, review, and organize accounting documents in accordance with internal procedures; – Conduct rigorous checks of the documents, verifying their regularity, their conformity to accounting standards, and the procedures of the MUFID network. Securing and monitoring accounting documents – Guarantee the proper storage, confidentiality, and integrity of accounting documents throughout the processing period; – Ensure, if necessary, the return of accounting documents to the relevant MUFIDs, ensuring traceability and proper delivery of the documents. Support for field control missions – Participate, under the supervision of the field controller, in control missions carried out within the MUFIDs (physical verifications, reconciliations, interviews, etc.) ;



Contribute to the drafting of findings and mission reports, in support of the control team;

Etc. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Academic background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) in Accounting, Management, Banking and Finance, or any other relevant related field. A Baccalaureate G2 is strongly recommended. (Experience gained within a microfinance institution or financial institution is a significant asset.) TECHNICAL SKILLS • Have knowledge of accounting standards • Be able to analyze financial statements and interpret ratios in order to assess financial health; • Possess a thorough understanding of financial, operational, and regulatory risk management; • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; • Ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders ; • Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher) and accounting software.
