Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the company’s financial operations. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Records: Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
Bookkeeping: Record daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Reporting: Assist Sr. Accountant in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Audits: Assist Sr. Accountant in Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during internal and external audits.
Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Expense Tracking: Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation.
Software: Use accounting software (such as [insert software used, eg, QuickBooks, Tally, or SAP]) to manage financial data.
Sales Reconciliation: Verify daily sales reports from stores, reconcile cash, card, and digital payments, and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Reporting: Assist Sr. Accountant in Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for retail operations.
Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate tax postings & filings and compliance with local tax regulations.
Expense Tracking: Monitor operational expenses, ensuring they align with budgets and company policies.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices, track payment terms, and follow up on customer receivables.
Reconciliations: Conduct bank, supplier, and stock reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Min 5 years of experience in Trading accounting or a similar role.
Proficiency in English required.
Strong knowledge of retail & trading accounting practices, including inventory and sales reconciliation.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with POS systems and digital payment platforms.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
