NB: the position corresponds to a local regime contract and is available immediately. Interested candidates must be nationals of one of the OHADA member countries.

Position reference: Communications Officer
DUTIES 
Attached to the Legal Affairs and Communications Department, under the authority of the Director of Legal Affairs, Documentation and Communications.
ACTIVITIES OF THE JOB
 The Communications Officer is notably responsible for:

Defining and implementing the communications strategy  Supporting the development and management of the communications strategy in line with OHADA’s objectives; Design communication plans adapted to the Organization’s projects and activities; Define communication axes in collaboration with OHADA Institutions Propose and carry out innovative communication actions to strengthen the visibility and influence of the Organization. Institutional communication and public relations  Maintain perfect and lasting collaboration with the various institutions, departments and services in order to guarantee coherent communication of the Organization; Design content and ensure the consistency and quality of the messages disseminated; Supervise the creation of communication materials (press releases, reports, brochures, newsletters, posters, leaflets, etc.); Establish and maintain lasting and responsible relationships with the media, institutional partners and stakeholders; Manage media coverage of official visits and missions; Manage event coverage of the Organization’s activities (conferences, symposia, seminars, webinars, etc.); Ensure press relations; Assist the Director of Legal Affairs, Documentation and Communication as well as the Head of the Legal Affairs and Communication Department in the administrative management of relations between OHADA and States, national and international public institutions and technical and financial partners. Digital communication and social media management 






Ensure the digital presence of the Organization (website, social networks, blogs, specialized platforms);
Write and publish relevant and engaging content on digital platforms;
Manage and animate social networks, ensure moderation and interaction with the virtual community and forward strategic thinking to management;
Monitor digital performance and adjust strategies accordingly (Search Engine Optimization, Analytics, sponsored campaigns).
Internal Communication 
Contribute to the design and updating of internal communication tools and channels; Raise staff awareness of institutional communication and best practices;
Ensure the dissemination of information to teams and partners.
Monitoring and analysis 
Monitor trends and best practices in communication;
Monitor legal and institutional news to adapt communication according to developments;
Contribute to the evaluation of the impact of communication actions and suggest improvements.
Prepare and submit periodic reports (weekly, monthly or quarterly) on the actions carried out, the performance of communication campaigns and recommendations for improvement
CANDIDATE PROFILE
 Any man/woman, aged 45 or under on January 1, 2025, holding a Bac+3 level diploma at least in communication or journalism and demonstrating significant experience of at least 5 years in institutional communication, ideally in an international organization. Proof of additional training in digital communication would be an asset.

Mastery of techniques to moderate discussions, manage comments and messages, and maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere;
