Investment fund launching in Central Africa
1. Presentation of the context
Central Africa and in particular Cameroon are full of a diversified and dynamic economy,
which is based on the existence of companies operating in various fields and presenting
a potential for strong economic growth. However, Cameroonian companies complain
about the difficulties of accessing financing to develop their businesses. Furthermore, it is clear
that in addition to the difficulties of accessing financing, several companies struggle to develop
because they do not always manage to receive quality support
to fully exploit their potential. Faced with this problem, in partnership with
Investisseurs & Partenaires (www.ietp.com), a pioneer in impact investing in sub-Saharan Africa for 20 years, we are launching in Central Africa the first Impact
Investment Fund , Fako Capital (www.fakocapital.com), for the financing and support of Cameroonian Startups, VSEs & SMEs with a strong economic, social and environmental impact. The fund plans to make investments for amounts of up to 350 million FCFA per company, in companies operating in all sectors of activity with a strong economic, social and environmental impact, and which have real potential for strong growth. Ex: agri-food, Digital & Technology, transport/logistics, education, health, recycling, energy. As part of the deployment of the activities of the said fund based in Cameroon, we are looking for a Professional Intern as a ” Digital Communication Officer”, for a period of 3 to 6 months, which may lead to a permanent contract, who will be based in Douala-Cameroon and will be responsible for: (a) assisting the company’s team on corporate communication and digital communication (b) supporting portfolio companies on their communication and digital communication. The missions and activities mentioned below are not exhaustive. 2. General framework of the activities of the “Digital Communication Officer” Under the responsibility of the Fund Director, the “Digital Communication Officer” will participate in the corporate communication as part of the preparation and launch of the fund in
Central Africa. She/he will be in charge of supporting the companies in the fund’s portfolio, on the subjects of
communication and digital presence of said companies on the web. Female profiles who

3. Main Missions of the Position
The main missions of the position of the “Digital Communication Officer” will include:
At the company level:
– Design and organize the company’s communication strategy (including digital)
– Manage the production of the company’s communication materials (activity report, newsletter,
press releases, company positions on specific subjects, etc.)
– Manage the company’s website as well as its various accounts on social networks
– Produce the company’s digital and multimedia content
(visuals, photos, editorials, etc.)
– Manage the relationship with the company’s web and digital service providers
– Ensure technological and digital monitoring on subjects related to the
company’s sector of activity
At the level of the portfolio companies
– Assist and support portfolio companies in the deployment of their communication strategy

Assist identified SMEs in the production of their communication materials
– Support partner companies in improving and optimizing their
communication and presence on social networks

– Ability and motivation to provide local support to VSEs/SMEs with
often very “field” issues
– Easy and rapid handling of IT tools
Proven experience in similar roles for financial institutions is an asset.
Desired diploma:Professional license in digital communication or any equivalent diploma
Age: Be between 25 and 30 years old
Practical arrangements
– Start date: September 2024
– Location: Position based in Douala, with travel within Cameroon
– Type: Professional internship, lasting 3 to 6 months, which may lead to a permanent contract
