Main mission(s): He/she is responsible for managing
risks for the organization, its employees, customers, reputation, assets and stakeholders’ interests. He/she works with the bank’s senior management on risk response and continuous improvement of their identification. Main responsibilities: 1. Ensure the bank’s compliance with Basel III; 2. Identify and assess risks related to the bank’s activities, put in place prevention plans and decide how to reduce or transfer risks; 3. Review, test and improve all risk policies and procedures; 4. Monitor and enforce risk management principles and policies; 5. Maintain and ensure consistency in the dialogue between the Bank, external and internal auditors and the Central Bank; 6. Conduct legal and regulatory monitoring of banking policies, procedures and standards; 7. Motivate and organize teams in accordance with the risk management framework and foster a risk awareness culture within the Bank; 8. Participate in and maintain professional networking to keep abreast of best practices and standards; 9. Assist the General Management in formulating and communicating the Bank’s ERM objectives and guidelines to achieve key portfolio performance metrics of growth, loss and profitability; 10. Coordinate the effective implementation of appropriate training programs for Bank staff; Candidate Profile 1. Required academic qualifications: ✓ Master’s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, law, business management or a related field; ✓ Professional certification in risk management will be an added advantage.



2. Professional Experience:
✓ Five (05) years of experience in the banking sector or in a renowned audit firm
with a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in an identical or
similar position as imperative.
3. Technical Knowledge / Skills:
✓ Excellent written and oral communication skills;
✓ In-depth knowledge of local and regional banking regulations;
✓ Perfectly bilingual (English / French);
✓ Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite.
4. Interpersonal / Leadership Skills:
✓ Proven skills in people management and teamwork;
✓ Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
and influence their decisions;
✓ Good organizational and time management skills;
✓ Results-oriented, independent and autonomous attitude;
✓ Ability to work under pressure in a competitive environment.
