JOB DESCRIPTION 

As part of the development of our activities, SESAM’MARKET, a company specializing in agri-food distribution, is looking for a Pastry Chef for its point of sale located in Bangue – Douala.

YOUR MAIN MISSIONS

Under the supervision of the  Bakery and Ready Meals Manager , you will be responsible for producing pastries and Viennese pastries daily according to the company’s quality standards. In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and present  a variety of pastry products (cakes, pies, desserts, etc.)
  • Make  artisanal pastries  : croissants, pain au chocolat, brioches, etc.
  • Serve customers  with professionalism and courtesy
  • Strictly enforce  food hygiene and safety standards
  • Ensure the workstation is in good condition and  report to the line manager

RESEARCH PROFILE

  • Vocational training  in pastry/Viennese pastries (CEP, CAP, BEPC or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience   in a similar role
  • Versatility appreciated: knowledge of other trades in the traditional fresh sector (bakery, delicatessen, etc.)

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Mastery of  manufacturing techniques  for pastry and Viennese pastries
  • Knowledge of  hygiene ,  traceability  and  storage rules  for fresh products
  • Ability to work independently while respecting internal procedures

  • Welcoming, dynamic and customer service oriented
  • Team spirit, sense of organization and rigor
  • Flexible hours and ability to work under pressure
  • Motivation to achieve quality and performance objectives
